I'm a scientist. I will consider anyone's views, since it is only by such examination that one can be reasonably assured that one's own views are correct. Ultimately, of course, I make up my own mind.

I am a free thinker,
I studied Religion for 22 years before becoming Catholic.
But in all that time, I realized that there was no way that I could in a single lifetime read, translate, and understand all that makes up the history of the world or even the New Testament.
So I studied the Catholic Faith and decided that I could trust them and the many lifetimes that have been spent doing this already.
No matter what we believe, it is at least somewhat based on other persons opinions and beliefs. None of us were born with all of the answers, and everything around us influences our beliefs, admit it or not.
Peace!

Sadly, I wouldn't describe myself as a "free thinker". In fact I don't think ultimate free thinking really exists. Everyone has gathered memories and experiences of the world around them throughout their lives. Our lives are influenced by norms, trends, cultural, and other factors. In this sense, our truth is always influenced and based on others.
My Q: What is a freethinker?

I consider myself a very freethinker. I listen to all of what people have to say. I have read and studied for years. I have drawn my own conclusions knowing that I do not have all the answers or that something else may come along to blow my entire thought process out of the water.
My feelings is that what is true for one person is not necessarily true for another. We are all unique so it makes sense that understanding will come in different forms.

I'd like to think of myself as a free thinker. I belong to no political party because I don't agree completely with any of them (though some have more points that I agree with than others I.E. Libertarian), and it took me a long time before I found a spiritual path that really spoke true to me and even then I'm not a mainstream Asatruar...I tend to question the accepted norms that a lot of Asatruar hold. This has gotten me into trouble with others who are self-defined Heathens. But I've gotten past the point of caring what others think of me or what I believe or what my opinions are.

I am a God thinker.
I prefer to be told by Him.
He tells the truth all the time.
Men lie.
They preach something that should have stopped centuries ago.
Tithing.

I love doing what the BIBLE tells me to do.
I am NOT PERFECT AT IT, in ANY WAY!
But I try.
God gives me a GREAT LIFE--because I TRY to tell people how good He is.
