I have flown a few times and not seen it yet, neither has any spacemen? Is it just made up so people believe in this god thing? Sounds like it to me.

God IS real, and He loves You soooo much----
JUST THE WAY YOU ARE!!!!
Yes, I believe that when Jesus returns--, " the dead in Christ shall rise, and meet Him in the air,---and then those that remain shall be quickly changed".
Our 'change', being, perfect bodies ---no more pain, or imperfect ,crippled bodies--but a NEW BODY that will meet all our loved ones.
I think part of Heaven is here on Earth---because when you treat others the way YOU WANT TO BE TREATED---the sick, the poor, the sad ones----that God gives your heart a NEW PEACE that you have NEVER KNOWN BEFORE!
Taking your mind off of yourself is EVERYthing!!

Religious people place heaven just beyond their reach.
Before mountain climbing became possible, gods were on the mountain top.
Before aircraft, heaven was in the sky and the Bible describes cities of gold on the clouds.
Now that we have satellites, the ISS and the Hubble, they've had to claim that it's not only invisible but in another dimension.
And when physicists are capable of looking into other dimensions, they'll move it again.

Funny question. Obviously, I think it has to do with what was put into your brain as a child, but I don't think people really believe there is a platform in the sky where you end up. Maybe they look to the heavens because we've been told Hell is below and logically, Heaven must be the opposite of that.

My mum always said that Heaven was on a cloud somewhere. Once when we was on holiday in Lanzarotte there were no clouds at all, I mean like, we were high up and there were just no clouds soI asked her where Heaven was now and she just smiled.
Personally I think heaven is where souls go to wait until they are needed for another body, then you leave and get reborn. This would explain how is don't get full up.

Yes, I have a frien d (who is college educated) and she actually believes that she will get wings and live in this magical place with gold streets and such. I think it's silly, if there is a heaven I think it's more of a state of mind. A feeling of closness to God, a feeling of peace, love and knowledge that cannot be described. I also think it's up to the individual whether or not they get there-if you feel you've honored your life by doing the best you could-you will get there. If you die feeling guilty and not learning from your mistakes your mind dies with a feeling of dispair and your God is very distant. My "educated" friend also believes Satan has Horns and a pitchfork!!!

The sky is made up of the various layers of the Earth’s atmosphere and the part of space beyond it, as seen from one place on the Earth’s surface.

Therefore there is a lot above this sky you speak of that we dont know about. Can you tell me what's beyond the stars?

I don't go to church (I believe that you don't need to go shake people's hand on a Sunday morning to believe in God. It's within you). Anyways, my boyfriends mother is a Jehovah's Witness...I asked her this question once. This is just MY belief: When you die, nobody goes to heaven. If you serve God fully and live your life to please God, then you will be resurrected and live again in a future life. You don't go to heaven. You are just reborn.

With all my heart do I believe that.:o] But I also believe that heaven is just an expansion (to the limit) of my own consciousness, exceeding earthly things.
