As for me, I love a good poatato salad.If you want advice on what you should bring to an affair.If you are going to be able to keep the salad cool, then potato is good.If not sure, pasta will be the best.Pasta seems to come to life when it sits for a while and becomes warm.Potato has mayo and can't sit unchilled.Hope this helps.

I like potato salad
I never really liked what people put in macaroni salad and I don't like cold noodles.
I don't like german potato salad, too much vinigar.
I like mine with mustard, mao, eggs, celery, green pepper, red pepper, potatoes (of course) salt/pepper and onion.
