God owns everything -- even Satan. I just don't understand how people can say they're Christians and say they believe that God can do all things, but they don't trust Him to work out the loose ends in their lives. Anyway, yes it is a silly notion. Satan does not own anything, he's just trying to win as many people as he can before God finally makes a fool of him for the last time.

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, at the moment of their disobedience, Satan began to be worshiped by mankind. Because of Satan's influence, " the inclination of the heart of man is bad from his youth up" God did have a special relationship with Abraham, the father of the Israelite nation, but at time went on and the Israelites became more and more influenced by the nations around them and began to fall away from "pure worship" God withdrew his spirit and blessings from them and the influence from Satan to mankind pretty much blossomed, and continued to grow, thus when Satan showed Jesus all the kingdoms of the world, and told Jesus he would give him those kingdoms for one act of worship to himself [Satan] Jesus did not argue the fact that the kingdoms belonged to Satan, kingdoms have continued to be under Satan's influence, Matthew Chapter 4, that is why there is so much suffering and injustice in the world. This is why at Daniel 2:44 it says: " And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite." At that time Satan and his demons will be abyssed for 1,000 years. After that he will be let out for a little while, [this will be the final test of mankind, whether they will choose to obey God, or worship Satan,] after this test, Satan will be destroyed, and all who follow him also, this is what is refered to as: "the second death" from which there is no resurrection.

Considering the concept of Satan according to atheist biblical scholars came from the Persians into the Hebrew religion, who are you to ask such an absurd, arrogant question? Obviously Satan owns the world. Just look at the governments who are in power.

He doesn't own this world but H's the ruler of it. He has authority in it. God didn't give him that ability, man did. When Adam ate the fruit, he gave Satan accessed to reign on Earth, and set up his demonic kingdom. Now you see things all of your life that validates it. Look at the VTech accident for one small example of a soooooooo much evil behavior that goes on Earth.

First of all God gave the dominion over the earth to Adam. When, satan tricked Eve into eating the fruit. Then she gave it to Adam which he ate. This was when Adam and Eve disobeyed God. The moment Adam gave into satan he handed the keys to the kingdom over to him. Adam no longer had dominion or the authority over the earth. But, there was hope. God sent his Son to take back the authority (dominion, keys to the kingdom) back from satan. This is one of the reasons Jesus was crucified.

Ok Good question. Here goes. Satan is the ruler and even a god of this world as taught in the following verses [Jn 12.31, 14.30, 16.11, 1 Jn 5.19, Lk 11.18] Satan was an accuser of the faithful before the throne of God, before the Ascension of Christ. This is taught in the following verses [Rev 12.10, Zech 3.1-5,Job, Jn 12.31, 14.30]. However, Satan became an enemy of the faithful and confined to the earth, following the Ascension of Jesus Christ as taught in the following verses [Jn 14.30, Rev 12.17, Jn 16.8,11]

Quantrill,
The silly thing is that you need to begin studying the Bibloe while you still have the time to become a Christian. After your death there will not be any opportunity for you to change where you are going. GOD sent HIS SON so that we would have an opportunity to be with HIM in the after-awhile. I would be glad to assist you in that study. Drop me a note. Have a great week.
Thanks,
Eds, Christian

Adam and Eve disobeyed God and gave the earth to Satan who they obeyed instead.

I think you'd have to ask Adam and Eve that...I guess their god doesn't want to be on this earth...so instead gave it to satan for the time being. Apparently G-d gave it to him to roam freely here till the messiah comes.

Pretty ridiculous concept, isn't it?

But the Abrahamic religions had to develop a cover story for their god's inability to do much of anything, so they blame it on Satan by blaming it on us.
