I'm not sure exactly what this means, but an answerer wrote:

"God is holy and he is going to stay holy no matter who gets hurt."

It's obviously not a personal threat (to the asker, it wasn't my question), but I'd be interested to hear any opinions as to just what it does mean.

Is it okay to hurt people who are somehow perceived as a threat to God's holiness? And what could threaten it anyway?

Markyyy, my hero!

And yes, Theophilus, I had hoped the person who said it might explain.

42, how is jk an anagram for atheists?

You aren't thinking of "hate-ists" are you? That would just be mean. Whereas "he 'as ****" is quite funny in a small, bizarre way.

Nothing could threaten God's holiness.

No it is not OK to hurt someone.

As for the comment "God is holy and he is going to stay holy no matter who gets hurt."

God is there and is a constant that is willing to save us so much he sent his son to dies on a cross (Jesus - see John 3:16) and those that don't accept Jesus as saviour and follow him (Not just talk but doing God's will) will be saved (Read John 3: 17 - 20)

Nothing.

There are days when people answer questions all day long. They rush to post an answer before they've given it enough thought sometimes. We all get tired. But the answer that was given wasn't that we are to hurt anyone. We are lights in a dark world, shining the light of our dear savior and Lord. Jesus is the answer. The rest of what we say on this forum is our own humanity showing through.

Maybe the person who wrote that will explain it.

I would believe that the author of that comment was not talking about man hurting man, but God hurting whoever is disobedient.

As to me, God is holy and just and we are not, so some of us will be chastised by God for our unholy or unjust actions.
However there is a way to avoid His judgment. We can accept His Son who died in order that our sins are paid for.

So, you've run out of good question ideas too ? I'm trying to work an anagram of atheist into a question, but it just isn't working out for me. Apart from the obvious one...jk

err, jk= just kidding.

my anagram had a bodily function in it, a smelly one...

I think some people read too much into things. No it isn't ok to hurt anyone for any reason. And what could possibly threaten God's holiness? He is God.

How can puny little man even threaten God's holiness? That's ridiculous.Psalm 2 says "Why do the heathen rage and imagine a vain thing ,God laughs at them".
Don't worry,God can take care of Himself.

All evil is a threat to God's holiness and all evil will be destroyed.

The only place that there is good or evil is on the inside of people and it is what comes from the inside of a person out towards the rest of the word that is either good or evil.

I didn't see the question but I'll give my 2 cents if that's OK.
God is a vengeful God to the wicked. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of it's wickedness. God remains the same no matter how much we change. I have seen people on here wanting Christians to change their values to be more accepting to worldly values. Some Christians to do change to accommodate everyone.
God will never change to accommodate anyone.

It was a joke I think...God doesn't need anyone to get hurt cause nothing threatens His holiness.
