Hi Don't worry he will be fine. Just keep him in for a few day's. And give him lot's of attention and little treats. Don't worry about your dog's they will know he has had something done, they may try to mother him, but he will stop them if they are hurting him. Aww your pet's sound lovely.

They are sore when they first come home. I dont remember mine having bandages, I think they actually have stitches that should just come out on their own. But you should probably fix him up a little bed, with food and water nearby and some toys or something to comfort him, because he will be out of it for a day or two. They usually heal fairly quickly, but for the first couple days, he probably wont feel like being messed with too much, so you might want to keep the dogs out of his hair at first, if possible. They may lick him too roughly and add to the already irritating experience, even though they dont mean to. Other than that, just try to baby him and comfort him. Be gentle with him. He may not be himself at first, but dont be alarmed, that is normal.

Normally, internal dissolvable sutures are used so there is no need for removal (I stress the word normally - depends on your vet). Still, the area will be tender for a while (yours would be too!)
Of course he should stay relatively inactive for a few days and I would probably keep his sacks dry and away from wagging dog tongues - you know how dogs will lick anything and everything. Separate them as a precaution. Anyway, your vet will tell you what to do and for how long, and if they don't, ask them and then wonder what the hell kind of vet he/she is!

I adopted a cat that had to bve neutered when he was 18 months old. He was absolutely fine - a bit quiet for a couple of days but afer that he was totally normal. There's no bandages and the cat can go to the toilet normally. It might be good to give him his own quiet space for the first 24 hours after the op though

Neutering a cat is a very simple surgery that will heal very quickly. Usually within 24 hours, they are back to normal, so I wouldn't worry too much.
Some vets are even using a form of medical superglue to close the incision, so there are not even any sutures to remove.

all cats naturaly get a growth spert at around a 12 months and a a million/2 or 2 so this might properly be why you think of he has gained weight. You dont say if he's indoor purely? I also have a disabled cat he grew to become into neutered at 6 months and is over weight yet thats because of the fact he's disabled and isnt very energetic so i've got been given him a great number of toys, cat activity center and cat tree with scratching posts to make him extra energetic cattnip additionally helps shop him energetic so which you may desire to do those issues to maintain the load down i additionally replaced his weight loss plan have been given him of dry food it grew to become into so undesirable for him the stuff is so fattening good high quality tinned food lots better!! and that i've got a strolling harness that i deliver him out interior the backyard with for walks. i think of in the adventure that your is an outdoor cat he isnt roaming for women anymore and adult males dont hunt as much as females so he's putting on weight for them motives. exchange or cut back back on his food and picture of issues to make him extra energetic supply him his dinner in puzzle food balls make him paintings for his nutrients and obese cat is askin for subject one in all those good form of well-being issues to rigidity approximately

My cat was back to normal as soon as she came home. She was spayed not sure if surgery is less or worse than getting neutered.
But you could always keep him in your room and close the door. Keep the other cats from getting to him.

He will be very groggy and a bit on the numb side. Dont worry about lifting him, just let him come to you for cuddles, when you get him home dont feed him cat food, give him some chicken as its easier for his stomach. Just let him come round in his own time, he will be fine.
