What are you even saying? That knowing a large amount is equivalent to knowing nothing? Are you on crack?

See how all of these positive things, in this case, knowledge, are greater than nothing? Wow! That's amazing!

When you think you know it all you have earned a Bachelor's Degree. When you realize you have not scratched the surface you have earned a Master's Degree. When you decide to devote your life's work to investigating a small sliver, you have earned a PhD.

To foolish man everything is unknown, but to a man who is in knowledge, he knows everything. From the authority or direct perception, somehow or other the knowledge is there. So "unknown" means that he doesn't care to know. Where to take knowledge rrom, he doesn't know, neither he personally knows; therefore it is unknown.
