Whats the best oitment to deal with pigmentation on face especially around eye area? is it hydroquinone or hydrocortasone (wrong spelling!) I know they both thin the skin, which would be more effective? can the 4% hydroquinone be used on face?

Hydroquinone is the quickest skin lightner, 4% is only available from a doctor, but you can use it on your face. A good one from sephora.com is Peter thomas roth's potent skin lightner...it is a 2 % also look online at obage, it is a 4% hydroquinone and is an amazing skin care line. There are also natural skin lightners like vit c etc...in some cases hydroquinone makes the pigment come back darker...very rare though. Also you cannot use hydroquinone if you are pregnant or nursing. It is banned in some countries, so do your research. I have used it and had no problems. You can only use it for about 3 months then you have to take a break from it before continuing use. You HAVE to wear sunscreen when using any lightner...the sun makes pigment darker!!!and hydroquinone makes you very sensitive to the sun. Peter thomas roth makes a holistic lightner too, it just takes a bit longer to get results.

I think hydrocortisone is a topical steroid. It reduces itching, redness, and inflammation. Hydroquinone is a skin bleaching product, but I am not sure if you would want to use around your eyes. It may make the problem worse.

hydroquinone makes your skin peel faster, thus aiding in the treatment of pimples and dark skin, a lot of Filipinas use it... but a recent study shows that it causes a certain skin disease (sorry i forgot what my professor said)

hydroquione is bad for the skin I wouldnt recommend any skin lightning product as I have been a victim to this myself & the effects are terrible. It is best for you to completly avoid any kind of these products!!
I would recommend Palmers cocca butter that comes in a tub. Far better for you if you would like to fade any marks.
Good luck
