A pharmacist is a doctor and yes the schooling is difficult. You must be intelligent with science, mathematics, chemistry. If you are smart enough and find these subjects interesting, you should go for it. You will always have job security and a well paying job, usually about 90K to start.

A friend of mine is pharmacist and yes, the schooling is hard but worth it. You have to know as much as doctors because you dispense the medicine that they prescribe. Lot's of chemistry and science classes. He loves his job though and you can make very good money.

There are many long nights. In my class, we just had to write a 5 page single spaced paper on a drug and two articles on it. If you really want it, it is worth it.
