I have already checked all of the usual search engines - Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, etc. Does anyone know of any other sites that I might find very cheap flights on? Something for around $100?

Unfortunately if you aren't finding that on any other sites it's because there just isn't a fare like that out there. They are trying to get out of the last min. prices anyhow. They need to charge people so much in order to break even, let alone make a profit.

If the seats aren't filling up to a certain location, then gradually they will adjust the flights accordingly. You can get a flight for say $200.00 dollars, but $100.00 round trip that is a bit on the low side and just is an unrealistic price to pay for a departure this close in. I'm sorry, please don't take this offensively as it isn't meant in that way. The price just is what it is. You could look at Airtran as another mentioned, but them to there running about $200.00 flying out of Midway airport.

Now if you had advance purchase, then yes it is more realistic that you could get more of a price you want to pay. These rates are based off availability though, so even with advance purchase it isn't guaranteed that you will get a good rate. Weekend rates typically are higher as well.

Actually I always get the cheapest flights on the individual airlines websites. I always check one those three sites you mentioned to compare prices and see which airline is the cheapest, but then I go to the airline's website and get the same fare, except that those sites all charge a "booking fee" so it actually makes them MORE expensive. It could be that the airfares are expensive because you are not booking in advance.
