Man, then the Nicene council decided on the Trinity in 325 AD, and added it to the bible.

Good morning King T....Is this an open question for discussion!...lol. Tough one..Well, in my own opinion, I believe that Jesus Christ is the "Son" of God due to my Christian beliefs. Now this is controversial. Some believe that God and Jesus Christ are of the same. To me, God came first as it states in the Bible. God stated "I am the Alpha and the Omega" which means 'I am the first and the Last". Now one can also interpret that God was first then Jesus Christ was last, since Jesus was crucified and God had no more sons here on earth. Now if one believes in the trinity, then you have God (The Father), Jesus Christ(His son) and the (Holy Spirit) Now my feelings on this, is that God and the Holy Spirit could be one in the same. It all depends on each individual and the way they were taught in their own religion. Some may say that Jesus was not the son of God but the son of Joseph whom was a carpenter. I on the other hand, believe that God is One and Jesus Christ was His only Begotten Son. Have a Blessed day!

Jesus knows. Who did HE say he was? The Son of God.

Nowhere does Jesus or any other Bible writer mention a Trinity. Nowhere does Jesus say he is God.

There are a few poorly translated verses in the King James and other versions that indicate that Jesus is God, but these are translations, not the original Greek.

Look it up. "SON of God" is found in the New Testament numerous times. If Jesus wanted to tell us he is God, no power in heaven or on earth could have prevented him from doing so. But he didn't.

Jesus is never recorded in the Bible as saying the exact words, “I am God.” That does not mean, however, that He did not proclaim that He is God. Take for example Jesus’ words in John 10:30, “I and the Father are one.” At first glance, this might not seem to be a claim to be God. However, look at the Jews’ reaction to His statement, “We are not stoning you for any of these, replied the Jews, but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God” (John 10:33). The Jews understood Jesus’ statement to be a claim to be God. In the following verses, Jesus never corrects the Jews by saying, “I did not claim to be God.” That indicates Jesus was truly saying He was God by declaring, “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30). John 8:58 is another example. Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, before Abraham was born, I am!" Again, in response, the Jews take up stones in an attempt to stone Jesus (John 8:59). Why would the Jews want to stone Jesus if He hadn’t said something they believed to be blasphemous, namely, a claim to be God?

I believe that Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten Son of God the Father.. and as such is A God Himself...

I believe that Jesus Christ was given God the Father's power to Physically create the World and all that is in it.. and IS God of the Old Testament because He spoke with the Prophets for God the Father.

Whom did the angel announce that he would be?
Who did Christ himself later say that he was?
Whom did God himself identify Christ as?
http://watchtower.org/library/g/2005/4/22/article_01.htm

"The angel said: “Have no fear, Mary, for you have found favor with God; ... you will conceive in your womb and give birth to a son, and you are to call his name Jesus. This one will be great and will be called >Son of the Most High<; and Jehovah God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule as king over the house of Jacob forever, and there will be no end of his kingdom.” --Luke 1:30-33

"You alone, Jehovah, are the God above all other gods in supreme charge of all the earth." (Psalms 83:18)

Immediately following Jesus' baptism (representative of his presenting himself to God to do his will), and while he was yet praying, “he saw the heavens being parted,” God’s spirit descended upon Jesus in bodily shape like a dove, and

Jehovah’s voice was heard from heaven, saying:
“You are my Son, the beloved; I have approved you.”
--Mt 3:16, 17; Mr 1:9-11; Lu 3:21, 22.

Son of God!

Both. Unlike English, the Greek word Theos ("God") has multiple meanings. In a universal sense, Jesus shares a common essence with the Father (making him God); but in a particular sense, Jesus is an individual hypostasis (making him the Son of God, or different from the Father). It is the same as saying that I am a man, and also the son of a man. Both statements are true - the first statement refers to a universal category, while the second statement is specific.

Christians believe that Jesus is God who has taken on a human nature and lived a real human life. This is called the Incarnation-- the only instance in which a divine and human nature coinhere in a single person. The Incarnation also reveals, for Christians, the mystery of the Trinity, that there is one God in whom there is a relationship of three ontological subjects that all share a single, divine nature. Therefore, for Christians, Jesus Christ is both God and the Son of God. Jesus is God inasmuch as he is a divine person. And he is Son of God through his relationship to the Father in terms of the Trinity and in terms of his Incarnation.
