Does picking on someone's spelling and grammar because you can't answer the question make you humourless or just an uptight whitebread fundie?
I can't tell the difference on this site anymore.
Methinks there's a lot of young women, especially, who could be better spending their time than showing they're not particularly adept at being catty to cover their enormous ignorance and inability to make even the simplest of counter claims to an argument.
Actually, you're probably right, they're just humourless.
Which is odd, because I've seen what passes for a fundie 'man' and I cant help but burst out laughing...

You know as well as I do that the atheists around here have a great sense of humor- The christians are coming around too ;)

I dunno. Once in a while I see a perfect thunderbolt of humor in some of the postings. I am not above making a joke or two myself here at times when I think the question merits that treatment. But you are correct in that there are too many haters on this site, especially in the political section which tends to draw these unhappy souls like a magnet. I like to rattle their cages at times, but more and more I just try to ignore them. They are sad.

I think i know exactly who you're talking about!
In my opinion, life sucks without a sense of humor! I mean, yeah.... religion is a "serious" thing for a lot of people.... but that doesn't mean you can't allow yourself to be the butt of the joke sometimes.
Hell, I MAKE myself the expense at which everyone enjoys a laugh..... Why is it so hard for others to not take themselves so seriously?!

I reckon so. I get taken seriously all the time when I'm joking. The upside of it is I'm often insulting as all get-out and people just don't get it...doh, now everyone's gonna be watching...yeah right!
FYI people, being able to recite a "joke" does not prove you have a sense of humour. Being able to laugh at yourself is coming close.

Even though we disagree on the minor topic of religion ;o), I appreciate your sense of humor. You have quite the wit at times.
Now that's the last compliment you get from me :oP

It is true. I am one of them. I seem to enjoy life a little more when I am not answering questions here but I enjoy learning from people. That's part of life. I will try to lighten up more often.

they are all orphings, you notice. So heavily handicapped re a feeling of humour that they've been institutionalised at beginning. Politically terrific people think of that they might desire to be assimilated into society yet i think of it extremely is downright merciless to anticipate frequent applications from those people....

Far from true.
This guy went parachuting. He jumped out of the plane, counted ten, and pulled his ripcord. Nothing happened so he pulled his reserve ripcord. Again nothing happened. He was thinking, now what do I do, pray? When he looked down he saw a guy coming up. He yelled, "Hey do you know anything about parachutes". The guy coming up yelled, "No do you know anything about furnaces".

That isn't funny. It is true but it is also true that many of us do like to have fun and joke around as well. I like to let @$$holes ruin their own day, not mine. Peace be with you
