Yes, it is sad. I agree, we should keep praying. God bless.
For Yoda Green, I understand your doubt, but think of it this way. If this hadn't happened, then those students and professors might have never had a chance to be heroes and save lives. The students and staff have shown great strength during this difficult time. God rewards those who persevere and he had something special in mind for each of the victims. They have a purpose and now their families and class mates have a purpose to tell the stories of the victims to inspire others. The victims were great people and now their stories will be heard through out the world and they will always be remembered for how heroic they were. At this point and time, it is a tragic loss and there seems to be a waste of life, and I am certainly not agreeing with what the killer did, but out of everything no matter how tragic and horrific it seems, there is a purpose in everything. Also, I think Satan has a lot of power over people and I don't think God wants anyone to be hurt, but he does make everything work out in the end. All I can say for the victims and their families is to not give up hope, the victims' stories don't end here. God loves each one of them and I'm certainly not going to blame God for something like this. God bless.

It is sad and yes we do need to pray for the families of the victims of the VA shooting. It is a terrible thing. WE ALSO need to respect the families and maybe not remind them of the pain every god given hour of the day. Imagine a close family member dies and for some reason, its posted all over the internet, and all over TV, and everyone is talking about it- all the time. Praying for their families is a good idea, do it SILENTLY. Also, if we must talk about the victoms of VA tech, let us talk about how they lived instead of how they died; because it is painfull enough to know that Michelle died. It is quite another thing when I keep getting reminded of it all the time.

It's just another school shooting. It's not the first and it damn sure won't be the last. Yeah that sounds bad, but it's the truth and you all know it. So where and when will the next one be. Will you be anymore prepared for it than you were for this one. I doubt it. So am I saying doing nothing and just wait for it and hope you or a loved one are not involved? No, I'm not saying that either. So what are you going to do now? That's the question you need to be asking.

I will pray for those that were killed and thier families. But one thing that I think is important for us to remember is that we should not focus on the bad, but the good. Try to think of it tis way....Not everyone died, some were spared. (good) we have to keep living and not stop because someone went crazy. This kind of thing can happen anywhere, anytime. We should not spend our lives worring about what could happen because lets say we worry about school shootings and how we might die from them.....but the next day we get run over by a bus... All of our time spent worring made life less enjoyable and did nothing for us. So we should live for each day, and enjoy life, but not spend our time worring about what could happen. I also believe that strageties for things like this are important, but not worry. Thanks

The sooner your country outlaws firearms the safer it will become, sure certain individuals will still get them on the black market but if theyre not available to everyone then that kind of problem is less likley to occur, this stratergy worked in australia, we have very few fiream offnces now after our massacre a number of years ago the government bought back firearms, now only farmers and certain professionals may have them.
This thing seems to happen too often in US its the only real answer, you may say if we dont have guns we cant protect ourselves, but nobody seemed to have one to protect the innocent 32 victims, but if the madman had no access to them it wouldnt have happened at all

It is very sad when someone else is so disturbed that they feel the need to take other peoples lives to prove a point. The best thing we can do now is work harder in recognizing such people so that we can prevent situations like this in the future!

I think we are finding out, once again, that we need to pay more attention to those around us.

Seems this fellow was a complete oddball, and obviously depressed with homocidal tendencies, yet no one did anything. Where did these people think this was going to lead to? Did they think that eventually this person would just fade into non-existence?

well Yoda Green wanting to blame God for this one. so now if you cannot blame culture or color, might as well blame God! someone HAS to take the blame right?! i wish i could remember the person that wrote that message to americans, it was excellent, it went something like this: 'americans banned God from their schools and homes, but when something goes wrong they blame Him for not being there, but they chased him out to begin with'! its a terrible tradgedy! and yes, we are praying for the families! God Bless.

It is hard to believe they did not put the campus in lockdown until they were sure he was not on campus... since they probably didn't know the "who" at that point, there should have been a search for weapons with the campus in lockdown.
