Since you know about this, shouldn't you be trying to talk him out of it? He's taking her to a dance just so once he's there, he can be mean to her? Maybe you shouldn't be with him not because you're black but because he's mean.

I wouldn't want to be with a guy like that. Why doesn't he just tell her straight that he doesn't like her, it's mean to get her hopes up by taking her to a dance and humiliate her like that. But it's up to you whether you want to be with him or not. I just wouldn't trust a guy like that, I'll be too scared that he would do it to me too!
