no its not
coz if we apply formula of isolated capacitor on or earth
C=(4 x pie x epsilon x radius)
it comes out to be 0.0007 F
which is much less than 1 F
so if our earth cant hav 1 F capacitance
i suppose u can get it on our planet!!!

For small electronics work, capacitors are usually sold in pico- or microfarads because a single farad is an extraordinarily large unit of capacitance. A rapid discharge of a one-farad capacitor could easily blow a hole through carbon steel. Expensive one-farad capacitors can be purchased online, as they are sometimes sold to very ardent physics teachers.

Most Commercial Grade Large Electrolytic Capacitors have a voltage rating of about 25 working volts Direct Current. If used in a car, it will charge up to a level of about 14.5 to almost 15 volts, if the car's electrical system is working correctly. The use of a dropping resistor can be calculated by the following table: If the supply is 3.0 to 5.0 volts, use a 150 ohm 1/4 watt Resistor in series. If the supply is 5.0 to 12.0 volts, use a 470 ohm Resistor in series. If the supply is 12.0 to 15 volts, use a 680 ohm Resistor in series. If the supply is 15 to 25 volts, use a 1K ohm Resistor in series. The Resistor is a current limiting device that keeps the L.E.D. from destroying itself. Even a small voltage (1.8 to 3 volts require a limiting Resistor to keep the LED from harm. As mentioned above, a supply of about 15 volts would keep one led lit for almost 3 minuets. I hope that this will be of some help 2 U. Feel free to e-me. Have a great summer!

Well, not only pico farad, but also nano- micro- and even milli- farad.
A practical 1 farad capacitor is more commonly known as a button cell, and it is usually just that. Practical purpose: Keeping data in a memory chip non-volatile during power failure.

microfarad capacitors are very common in residential and commercial fan motors. you can purchase these types of capacitors at relatively low prices.

Dr. Emmitt Brown created a device called the flux capacitor, I'm not sure what the MfD rating was, but I hear that it generated 1.21 gigawatts.
