Guns out of criminals hands?

THEy say Australia placed gun control in to place and the mass murders stopped. THEY were having inncodents there, every 18 months till gun control came into place.

You can't, unless you take all guns away from everyone, which is an impossible task.
What you do is throw the book at anyone who commits a crime involving a gun. If it's a robbery you quadruple the sentence if a gun is involved. If it's assault you triple the sentence and whatever you can do. Murder or homicide with a gun is automatically life without parole.
And you don't allow parole when there's a gun involved, for any crime, including illegal parking.
Severe punishments and lengthy incarceration will not keep guns out of criminals' hands, but we can keep the criminals away from the rest of us.
And capital punishment should be administered whenever appropriate and without delay. That permanently removes the bad guys from access to guns. (Unless they have them in hell.)

You can't keep guns out of people's hands, but through education and culture, which lead to better tolerance, understanding and respect of each other, will prevent people from using these guns and becoming criminals. Prosecuting criminals means the evil had already been done, so we should do our best to prevent people from becoming criminals. Sane, responsible, educated, happy free people do not have any reason to shoot another human being, except to defend themselves.

Kristin is right.....
It will Never Happen.. No matter what law there is, how extreme it gets, it will not happen... WHY???? because this world is based upon gangs, .. and the government is the biggest gang in the world... The CIA is shipping crack cocaine in to get money for their operations; and guns would part of the trade... So... with this corrupt government... no way it will ever happen.. unless there is no such thing as a Gun.

you find crime where you look for it. Everyone is a criminal, everyone has committed a crime in their life in one way or another. it's not always prior criminals (convicted ones) who use guns for crime. the VT man wasn't a criminal and yet look what happened. it's impossible to do what you are asking. should we profile each person to see if they will be a criminal? we could possibly use some sort of 'future vision device' so we never let criminals get guns starting as soon as they are born. just my thoughts

you have just asked the impossible, the police nor our government can kep guns out of crazy peoples hands unless the guns are taken from every household. and i will never give up my guns while i alive.

We've not been able to do that in the history of time.
My solution was to get a gun of my own. Just in case. Sometimes the score can be even'd that way.
I hope you can find a better solution. I pray you can.
