I have to disagree. I use fresh raw milk from my pampered cow. She has way more then her calf needs, and would become engorged if not milked. She gives it up willingly and I consider it a gift-milking does not hurt her in the least. I dont eat eggs, but do feed them to my daughter, and I get them from a friends well cared for chickens. The hen discards the unfertilized egg and it would be a waste to leave it lying on the ground to rot. I dont see anything morally permissable about sacraficing an animal to feed a humans greedy appetite, when mother nature provides everything necessary to nourish the human body. Nothing should have to bleed and die just because humans consider themselves to be at the top of the food chain. Being at the top should be an awareness that its not necessary to eat dead animals. As far as cows being treated well, thats rarely the case, and it makes no sense to kill it anyway-there is nothing not cruel about death, regardless of how its done. That is like saying that a humans murder is okay, as long as they lived a good life. In order to care for an animal in a responsible way, you have to CARE about that animal-I dont see how you can care, then slit its throat and gut it.

Of course. =]
Its completely ethical to eat the flesh of a once-living animal, when it has had to spend its entire life in a stall hardly large enough for itself... and then go through a slaughtering process so cruel and disgusting that if commited on a dog or a cat the owner would be fined.
But-- no, oh no. Never the milk.
Utters have a much more advanced nervous system than that of an animal.
So... what do they call this, dear?
I believe they call it ignorance.

They are called omnivores. If they feel they need a special label, they can call themselves pollo-pescetarians but it's not a well known term. There is no such thing as a semi-vegetarian or a pollo pesce vegetarian. No vegetarian eats ANY animal flesh.

?????
So it is morally permissible to kill (meaning slit the throat, shoot in the head) a mammal, skin the carcass, drain the blood, cook and eat the meat of said animal, but never in a million years permissible to consume dairy (which by the way is just milk from an animal)? How does that make sense?
I want you to really think about what you just said, and try again.

Lactose intolerant, but since you're concerned about avoiding dairy for moral reasons and not meat, you're probably the only one. In that case, the special name for people who don't eat dairy is "Charles".

Ok...I hope you can handle this term
A non- dairy consuming meat eater! Holy Moly, I know! So technical. You're reasoning for still being able to eat meat is really funny. I had a good laugh.

Interesting theory. I eat meat but I'm trying to eliminate dairy from my diet simply because I think it's bad for me. I'm not saying it's bad for people in general!! Just bad for me personally.

to your question, the special name to some one who doesn't drink dairy but eats meat is:
"Someone that doesn't drink dairy, but eats meat"
And how is it morally permissible to eat meat but not consume dairy? Where is the logic there? I don't understand.
