There is no way to get "rid" of arthritis as once it's there, it's there to stay. There are treatments, such as physical therapy, massage thearpy, available to help with the pain, if you're having any.

Much depends on the type of Arthritis? I have inflammatory Arthritis and wear and tear as well as Disc problems. However I found Pilate's excellent and am now into Aqua Jogging. It is not a CURE, but I have found it very beneficial in helping with the stiffness, pain and instability. However before you start any form of exercise, you really need to check with your Doctor. Likewise I have Physiotherapists at each exercise program and they inform me when I might be pushing the body too hard, which is useful. After 30 years of Arthritis I was told today that I have excellent 'muscle mass?' Means zero to me except I have lost weight and feel better for the entire experience. I have now been invited to the local College Gym to try weight lifting, sounds like fun.

First of all just because your fingers/knuckles crack that doesn't mean you have arthritis. Arthritis is an incurable disease of the auto-immune system that causes the cartiledge between your joints to go away forever. This leaves bones rubbing against bones which is very painful. I had a nurse tell me that cracking is actually good for the joints because it puts fluid in them for a short period of time so just cracking doesn't mean anything at all. If your joints are sore try some Motrin, Aleve, or Advil and rest or heat wraps that you can buy at the pharmacy. Also, you could try Icy Hot, or Ben Gay.
