If the animal crackers contain animal fat, they won't eat it. Vegetarians are not opposed to what the food looks like. They even eat meatloaf, hotdogs, chili and burgers... but all made with tofu or seitan (wheat gluten). As long as it doesn't contain meat or any kind of animal fat, etc, they'll eat it no matter what it looks like.

Vegans is another category: they're the extreme of vegetarians. They won't eat anything that exploits any living creature: no dairy, no eggs, not even honey because bees might be killed to retrieve the honey and it's stealing from hard work of the bees.

You'd be surprised that lots of vegetarian food that is meatless can taste pretty close to the real stuff.

Everyone should ask this question. You'll always get a couple of responses of people sincerely finding you clever.

144 times asked? That's nothing folks. Let's get it up to 1000! If everyone just asked this question once, we'd be well on our way!

I just asked it yesterday, and it sure bolstered my sagging ego!

I actually did the research on the top 3 brands too!

None of them contain lard, but they contain whey or other milk solids!

The answer could change anytime, so it is important to keep asking!
