I've liked this guy for two months. Apparenlty he's liked me the same. My best guy friend has been trying to hook us up because he told me he likes me, but the guy I like says he only likes me as a friend. Well, not long ago, he admitted he liked me again. Then, my friend apparently told him yesterday i still like him, and he says he just wants to be friends. It's difficult cause my best guy friend's been at him for a little bit over a month and the guy won't budge. I can tell he likes me, and I still tell he can. Just this past Saturday, he had this idea of taking me to the movies and had his friend ask me. Sadly, she misunderstood me and thought I couldn't or didn't want to go. What's going on?

I feel like I lost my chance with him and I don't know why. Nothing's changed. This guy's such a sweetheart and it seems like he still likes me. I like the double date idea thing, but watch me chicken out. I'm too shy for my own good. I don't know what to do...

He probally is as shy as you. It seems everytime he is confonted by ure guy friend he backs down and uses the old fassioned "friend" excuse. So play the game, invite him out to the movies or something using the "friend" excuse and play it from there.

Regular dates have way too much expectation attached to it, If your just 2 friends (or if you need backup get some girlfriends and perhaps even the guyfriend) going out to the movies for fun then you can make moves if you want on the night :)
Best of luck with that

Aki
I read that 2/3 of people of certain countries are shy you might live at a country like that, different than pathetic being a little quiet might be normal where you live

USA is 2/3 gregarious 1/3 shy during the 20th century
Japan is 2/3 shy 1/3 gregarious during the 20th century

I think its wonderful you like each other; keep trying and your shy friend might meet his shy date

He's waiting for you, not your friends, to approach him. So, go approach him and ask him out.
