Obese people would be more likely to develop cardiac problems at a younger age, than slim people (baring strong genetic history) BUT someone born with a heart defect, undetected or not corrected adequately, could have a heart attack at a young age and weight would likely not be an issue.

If you have a family history of heart disease than you are at a higher risk. Depending how old they were, it's a good indication of how old you will be at a higher risk. Being obese isnt good, eating high fat foods, such as cheese, milk, eggs, butter, fried foods, red meat, and much more will make your arteries more caked with fatty build up. It is important to go for stress tests if you think you want to get checked out. Also getting a simple bood test and routine checkup might be good. Age all depends on health and family history.

You can have a heart attack at any age, and no obesity is just a cause, heart attacks can be triggered by many other things like stress, fright and in my dads case a missed heartbeat, he was only 40!

Heart attack is a lay term, but is generally considered equal to a myocardial infarction. Myocardial infarction is due to the lack of blood flow to the heart muscle. Under specific circumstances it can happen to newborn babies. Generally, the risk factors include age, obesity, diabetes, cigarette smoking, dyslipidemia (increased cholesterol for example). Genetics particularly with dyslipidemia is a very important risk factor. I once saw a "healthy" 17 year old with a heart attack associated with crack cocaine abuse.

No.............it could happen to anyone if they have a condition that prompts a heart attack...........babies still in the wound could have if they have an hernia and is too much of an effort for them to come out or if they have some other problem they could also die for heart attack!! I have seen babies die from heart attacks due to other problems unrelated to the heart as well!!

No age is a good age. Get checked by a doc right away a especially if they're a little on the heavy side.

It all depends. Children can have them, but those children were most likely born with congenital heart disease. I know of a kindergartner who had a myocardial infarction (heart attack) and went into cardiac arrest. But, in most cases, older people are more susceptible to having them.
