Naw. There are nuts in every type of social movement and religion. Now, a religion full of nuts is another thing. Maybe even something to admire and strive to promote throughout the Earth. However, a faith that is all serious and Absolute is bound to provide the fodder for some nut or another. Like Dave Koresh, Tim Jones, or Jim Baker. They is nuts everywhere! Can't say all this folk or that folk is nuts cause just a few are. Dat's generalizations. Generalizations is bad and stuff.

No, as no one should. I fail to understand why people will judge an entire group of people because of the actions of 1 or a few (one bad apple does not spoil the whole bunch...). Of course, we've yet to find out this man's reasons...and now he is dead. Hopefully, we'll learn what his motives are. This is an unbelievably disturbing event....disturbing me more being born in Virginia, and having a father and an uncle who graduated from VA Tech. I hope we learn was behind these shootings soon.

No, it's not wise to judge an entire community by one example.
However, since your asking this question in reference to a religious community, I've already formed an opinion about organized religion that's not all that favorable, anyway.

It happens everyday anyway regardless of what this guy does or does not believe in. And why does anyone think that religion or lack of religion has anything to do with what he did, or if we'll even ever know what he believed at all.

He didn't do it in the "name" of anything, since he didn't reveal his motive.
Maybe he did it over a girlfriend. Would that mean all boyfriends are homicidal?
Maybe he was mentally ill. Would that mean that all mentally ill people are killers?
So, if he had done it in the name of a religion, I'd have to say it wouldn't mean all members are monsters.

What is the definition of prejudice, the disease that has plagued America for so long? Let us not all continue that ugly social ill. It is really irrelevant what the beliefs of the shooter were. if happened and we need to mourn and grieve and lament, and help, and move on.

No. We are all responsible for our own actions, we cannot say, "Well since I am a ______ religion, anything I do will receive pardon" and we cannot judge "Since this person did this, that means this religion is wicked".

No, anyone who can go and kill innocent people is not a Christian. When you're saved, you know better. I think he was a very sick twisted person and I don't understand why he would so such an evil act.
