A friend recommended them and I wanted to ask before buying it. It's a frozen food brand made of organic and nutritious foods for vegetarians and such. Or can anyone recommend any other vegetarian food brands? Also, has anyone here tried vegetarian hot dogs and hamburgers? If so, how do they taste?

I've tried many Amy's products, and I've yet to find one that I don't like. Of course, not all of them are vegan (I am), so I haven't tried them all, but they are all organic and all vegetarian, and great to have on hand when you're in a rush or to tired to cook. Amy's burger, though, leave much to be desired.

I've tried a number of items from Yves, and they're OK, but most of the are more for sandwiches. They do make veggie sausages and veggie bacon.

Tofurky makes great, really great veggie deli meats. They're the best that I've found to date - tasty, juicy and thinly sliced. Yum.

For the most part, I avoid veggie dogs. They don't always taste great, they have a horrid texture, etc.

The idea is to find something that you like. What I have tried to do in the past is to try one new product a month (my major monthly shop trips are monthly). That way, I can find out what I like and don't like, and I'm not spending a huge amount of money at any one time. Look for a natural food store near you and start experimenting.

I love many of the Amy's foods, especially the soups. They are a little pricey though.
As for veggie hotdogs and hamburgers, Boca brand makes a good variety of meatless "meat" products. The only Boca I've tried and didn't like was the Boca lasagna.
Definitely try Morningstar Farms as well, they have some great vegeterian items.
If you're on a tight budget like I am, try some of the veggie brand foods and then try to make them yourself much more cheaply!

i do not understand why Frank were given a thumbs-down, yet he's precise. positive it really is v*gan, yet those foodstuff aren't from now on low-fat by technique of any ability. And some thing processed is larger in sodium. it really is only a frozen dinner, in elementary words Amy's supplies a v*gan decision of it. For a fit frozen dinner, i ought to desire the eating precise line of frozen dinners. more low-priced too, for an similar sodium yet a lot less fat.

I like Amy's frozen burritos, and pack one with a bit of salsa on days I KNOW I am going to be too busy to stop and cook. Often though I will save up leftovers, like grilled asparagus with olive oil and garlic salt (SO easy and eat them like french fries) and put them into the container with it. Amy's Texas Style veggie burgers (think barbecue flavoring) are also delish!

I really like Morningstar veggie corn dogs. Regular veggie dogs are only good to me when smothered in ketchup or other toppings. That is just my opinion though.

Some of Amy's stuff is good. The tofu scramble, and cheeselss pizza are my two favorate things. As for other food brands, I really like Light Life's Veggie shreds. They have some other good stuff but you kinda have to try it, it's hit or miss. It's also worth noting that processed soy foods should not be the staple of our diets.

I have one or two things and they were really good. I read some articles about vegetarian frozen food and they are just praised all over. I like it a lot... even though I didn't try many things.

I like Morningstar Farms crumbles...didn't really care for their chicken strips or beef meal starters. Gag. They do have REALLY good chicken nuggets, though!
Bocca makes a good hamburger and bratwurst.
I have never cared for the Gardenburger burgers. They taste like cardboard to me.
Light Life chicken strips are incredible! They season well and are quite versatile.
Sorry, can't help you with the Amy's brand. I've been hem-hawing about trying it.

I tried the Amy's mac & cheese, and it was so bland. But, Gardenburgers are a really good brand. I used to have one of those everyday for lunch. I think they're better than a burger with beef.
