There are four parts in the heart. Upper Left, Lower Left, Upper Right and Lower Right.. Left side pumps out blood from the heart to the body. 60% of the pure blood is circulated within the heart to keep the heart alive. 40% of the blood is circulated for rest of the body. The impure blood flows back to the upper right, lower right, to the lungs for oxygen and the pure blood goes back to the upper left and then lower left.

If there is any choke up (blockage) in the pipeline, the heart has to work over time to pump the blood. The additonal workload on the heartdue to blockage causes blood pressure. When you get the pain in the heart (angina), you have already crossed the danger level. (www.noninvasivesolutio.com)

What do you mean by reasons? Like why do we check them? This is to show how fast/slow the blood is pumping through your body. The higher the numbers, the more pressure it is taking to pump the blood, which can mean heart problems, clogged arteries and veins, and other health problems.
