I took a single dose of azithromycin for chlamydia and my testicles have been sore ever since whats wrong?

There is a chance the one dose of antibiotics didn't totally kill off the infection. If this is the case, the infection may have spread and resulted in epididymitis (inflammation of the tubes that attach to your testes).

See the doctor again and retest to make sure you have cleared the infection. If you have not cleared the infection, take another course of meds as directed by your doctor and follow up afterwards.

BTW, I would recommend you NOT self-medicate with antibiotics. If you do not take antibiotics are recommended by the doctor, there is a chance you could take them incorrectly and wind up breeding drug-resistant bacteria. This is a big problem for you and any partners who might pick up the infection from you.

So please see a doctor, get re-tested and only take medications as prescribed.
