Yes, anything is possible. Aneursyms can occur at anywhere in the body. They're just weak spots in the walls of blood vessels and if it wasn't fixed properly another one could develop. That is highly unlikely though. Hopefully, you had a good doctor and he knew what to look for.

I had a mitral valve replacement 4 yrs ago and I was thinking that they were going to give it another go because it makes quite a bit of noise. After Surgery your blood flow is restored and your ready for action. However many patients and there families are not prepared for this. They sit around and do nothing and moan about pains in the chest. If you have been cut up and had your hart mucked about with it will hurt and if you moan and groan and wait for the grim reaper to come and get you bye bye.
The stitches don't come undone unless your really unlucky so don't wait for some one to do things for you and your luck to change. The Physiotherapist is your best friend go and become involved in a cardiac rehabilitation program. Pick up your bed and walk.

Yes, that is a big surgery to go through. Sometimes the new one can be fixed by a coiling that they can do in interventional radiology. Or it can be fixed by a mesh place in the OR or in interventional radilology. You need to be at a major medical center and you may want a second opinion by a different thorasic surgen.

Yes. You can always develop an aneurysm outside the repaired area. You can also develop them in other areas, such as the iliacs or the popliteals. That's why an aneurysm repair patient needs close followup.
