I sometimes crave ice water with ice cubes! I just wanted to know if anybody else is like me, or not?
also second question...do you ever seem to crave food(like almost anything, when you haven't eaten a "normal" meal for a long, long time?) and why is this, do you suppose? For me, when it does happen...the food always tastes sooooo good, like "too good"!LOL! Know what I mean? even when I also haven't had water for a long time..or something totally refreshing ...it tastes so "out of this world!" LOL!

When I got diabetes...water and ice cubes tasted exactly like dirt on ice cubes and in my water glass! Trust me...you don't want to get diabetes! and oh, you also don't want to break a tooth while crunching on ice cubes....I did this...but on a piece of candy! Bye, Bye, big molar! (Wah!)
take care of yourselves!
Peace,ladyk

one more thing though...now I am better...still have diabetes type two..but I CAN have ice water with ice cubes..and no, they do not taste "dirty" anymore...it was only a symptom of my getting the diabetes, in the beginning! I now am back to normal!

Lol, sometimes I seem to find an ice cube refreshing...but not in the past. I was pregnant all through last summer and I munched most of the summer away...chompin on cold cubes. Also, the craving thing was there too, but bein preg, I guess it doesnt count. But ok, Im not preg now and I still know the craving. I LOVE ICE WATER...no matter what. But I think the reason that we find food to taste so tasty, and water so refreshing when we have been deprived, is because we have been DEPRIVED. Our body needs it in order for us to live. Maybe it is so dang tasty because it is our reward for finally doing the right thing....feeding and hydrating our starving, dried out *** :D

I'm feeling nuts right now because all I want is ice cold water and I am drinking LOTS of it - like 40-60 ozs a day. Unfortunately most of it refluxes back up since I am a recent wt loss surgery person. But I'm drinking ice cold water constantly.

During the Summer I love chewing on ice cubes. Especially if they aren't totally frozen and they have a super cold water filling!!!

It would not the atoms in the nice and comfortable water are quicker moving and have greater means than those in the chilly water, this implies it takes longer for them to decelerate and run out of means than the the chilly water ones that are already lots slower, warm water would not develop into ice swifter it in simple terms looks to quiet down swifter in spite of the undeniable fact that they the two unfastened there temperature at consistent speeds if located in the right comparable place in a freezer.

You are dehydrated/starved-that's why the craving and why when you fulfill it it's so pleasureable. It's not real good on your body to let it get to that point, though.
BTW, the anemia thing with ice is only if you chew it-it can indicate other problems as well.

Okay, after speaking with my Dr. today, it turns out that I have anemia. She said that this is probably why I am craving and chewing ice all the time. Yeah, I'm in hock with the dentist now, I broke a bridge. It seems, according to him, that chewing ice is equivalent to grinding your teeth in your sleep!
So there you have it!
