CHF is congestive heart failure and simply put means he tends to go in fluid overload . he needs to watch his weight and and not to over do it on fluids. now if his liver enzymes is high is he on cholesterol meds? as they can increase the enzyme levels . and yes long term effects can make a person disabled. but with good cardiologist and a patient that takes care of his self can have many good years without disability.

Ask his doctors.
Seek professional opinions not opinions from this website. This is your husband's health and life that is at risk here!
