I consider it meat since its animal flesh. I mean the whole point of being vegetarian is that you dont want to cause suffering to animals that you cant prevent. So how can ppl consider themselves a vegatarian if they eat fish or poultry? I know there are different types of vegetarians, but how is that a vegetarian? Your eating meat so that ruins the whole thing.

a pescatarian eats fish, a vegetarian does not. I think mostly, people are just uninformed about it. I heard a lady in the grocery store the other day telling someone she had become a "vegetarian", and the person asked her what she ate, and she said "oh, things like chicken, fish, shrimp, and vegetables". She will find her way eventually if she wants to, if not, she can delude herself all she wants, if thats what works for her. Most people have the notion that vegetarians sit around nibbling carrots all day, but that couldnt be further from the truth, could it, lol

Some people choose to be vegetarians for health and religious reasons. The animal suffering choice is yours. There are many types of vegetarians. Vegans will not only refuse meat they also will not drink milk or wear clothes made of animal products, because that is an exploitation of the animals. Here is a link that explains alot of the different types and why.

I never call fish meat, i call meat, meat and fish, fish. When you think about meat you think of something heavy and i just dont think of fish as a heavy food so yeah its not in my opinion

It has health benefits that other types of meat don't have. So if you're going veg for health reasons, as opposed to for animals rights, eating fish can be good for you.

I personally am a vegetarian, and I agree that fish are animals, and so I don't eat fish.

I agree with you. Fish is meat. The only reason people think that fish is not meat, is so that they can sneak some urder into their lives and SEEM as if they are helping the animals.

A certain type of vegetarians won't eat red meat because of the blood factor, people have different reasons as to why they're vegetarians, but these types can eat poultry and fish. =)

Its still technically meat but i guess since humans dont really relate to it well we dont feel a lot of compassion towards it. Also in the Catholic church on fridays in lent(the time before easter) you cannot eat meat but fish is allowed.

you could actually call this a religious question.
for Catholics, fish is not a meat.
fish is also a white meat. compared to beef, which is a red meat.

it's really your opinion.
