I think that its the "Queen For A Day" syndrome. They feel better than everyone because they are having a party and get to be The Most Important Person there, thus they get to decide who comes, who doesn't, and try to make the folks around them feel either special because they were chosen or like crap because they weren't. The truth is, after all is said and done, after the party is over and life is back to normal, the folks that got the crummy end of the stick don't forget how they were treated. Superficial popularity only lasts for about half a heartbeat before people see thru it. True beauty and kindness are qualities that are nutured and don't have boundaries as in "I'm Special and You're Not". With all the hype for the super over the top Sweet Sixteen parties, it can make us normal teens feel insecure and less than. Don't! Turning 16 is a terrific time in your life and enjoy it to the fullest with the people you love the very most in your life!

They are still immature and don't know how to handle being the center of attention. These kinds of girls usually end up lonely , while everyone else grows up they are still stuck-up and whining. that or the people around them get sick of dealing with them

They act like spoiled brats because their Mommy and Daddy buys them everything they want. I have yet to see an episode where one kid is respectful.
