Vytorin is a combination of two forms of cholesterol lowering medications called ezemitibe and simvastatin. As I have just mentioned, it helps lower our blood cholesterol level.

Vytorin is as 'lilcutie' says. the statin blocks the production of cholesterol in the liver and the ezetimide(Zetia) blocks the reuptake of cholesterol from the intestinal tract back into the system. Since 1/2 of all Americans are dying from cholesterol clogged arteries( heart, brain, kidneys), it almost makes sense that every American should be taking this med. Very few medicines will prevent 50% of all deaths. It is the single most amazing medicine developed since polio and smallpox vaccines. The time to take it is before you get too clogged up. I have been taking it for about three years. My cholesterol went from 210 mg ( a 50% lethal level) to 106mg in about 6 months. I'll let you know how it turns out for me.
