You're going to experience pain the moment of impact. I've had many accidents and believe me you feel the pain the moment it happens. The only way you wouldn't is if you were knocked unconscious.

Yes. It is true that some people do not experience pain at the exact moment of severe trauma. This can be attributed to sudden shock to the body. Shock causes adrenaline and other chemicals to be released into the body. Some of these chemicals act as blockers. If you receive a sudden traumatic deep cut for instance, you may not bleed immediately. After a short time the blood flow will begin but in the first instance it is sometimes inhibited.

I had a traumatic accident in which not one but BOTH my big toe nails were ripped off. Not very nice I can tell you. At the time of impact, for about 10 seconds there was no blood but plenty of pain. The blood started after 10 seconds or so. I am assuming the initial slow reaction was due to severe shock and also the amount of time it takes for blood to collect at the point of damage.

Anyway to answer your question, SOMETIMES the pain is inhibited but sometimes it is not. Just depends on the person and the situation.

You don't feel the pain at the very moment that you get injured.
You do feel uncomfortable and then it will feel intense fire hot heat and then you feel the pain. I was in an accident I shattered my pelvis, cracked my hip. crushed both legs and compressed fractures on my neck. I thought I was okay until I tried to open the car door. All I thought was thank god I was wearing a seatbelt and insurance paperwork needed to get started and if both drivers and others were okay.

THAT mixed at the same time with your enebriation masked the discomfort fairly. you'll prob experience it on the instantaneous tho. as long as you keep a stress dressing on it for an afternoon or 2 then let it air heal, you have to be ok. Now, in case you adventure lack of sensation contained in the realm on the instantaneous (before 24 hrs from time of damage), then by technique of all ability flow to the EOR. The EOR received't suture any damage older than 24 hrs. as well, in case you experience throbbing contained in the finger, carry you hand up contained in the air to keep the blood from flowing the affected section. Neosporin or Bacitracin are sturdy antibacterial ointments to keep on the decrease. be positive it really is washed out thoroughly.

It's pretty much true. The body doesn't react right away.

For example I sliced my finger a few months ago pretty deeply and it didn't start to really hurt until a half hour or so after I cut it. I'm not saying there wasn't any pain initially, but it wasn't half as bad as it later felt.

Unless the nerve is totally destroyed, you will feel pain.

If the pain is severe enough, you can indeed lose consciousness or go into shock, which can temporarily prevent the body from identifying new pain sensations.

My father-in-law lost his hand in an industrial accident several years ago. It was crushed in a gigantic press. They said he stood for almost an hour with his hand in the press waiting for them to be able to release the press so they could release his hand. He never passed out or anything.
