Would you live your life trying to be as comfortable as possible, if necessary numbing away your conscience knowing full well that you may well be living a lie and it could cost you an eternity in torment?

Or

Would you live your life wanting to know that which is absolutely true. Regardless how painful and discomforting the truth, if you found that there really is going to be heaven and hell, would you want to make sure you were 100% certain your eternity would be in heaven rather than torment?

Eternity try to grasp that please it's essential as I do believe my question is legitimate.

Conscience numbing opinions even from "knowledgeable and educated" people may not always prove as being truth especially if you are ignorant of their methods of coming to their conclusions and the "scientific" methods which go unchecked or are based on very "educated" GUESSES and ASSUMPTIONS.

So what is it? Comfort or Truth?

You will not feel comfortable if you believe the truth about God and about his teachings because truth is not comfort and comfort is not belief.

A man will be in comfort when he do good things and believe in God but a man who will not do good things is always worry and sad and feared that he might be caught for doing bad things, by the authorities and will cause him to hide inorder to evade arrest by the police.

You could well ask yourself that. Do you prefer being as comfortable as possible, in the belief that you will live forever in paradise in return for a pretty token effort. Do you prefer comforting lies about science over making the effort to rise above the easiest cartoonish concept of your religion, no matter what the consequences of your attacks on science may be to the welfare of humanity? Or would you want to know the painful discomforting truth, whatever it was?

Why is it that people limit the possibilities of life to so few paths, I said to myself.
I would not ask a question in your question; I have been 'corrected', in the past, for that.
All I will say is that I disagree with your saying there are only two possible states of being. (As you have outlined, in your question).
That is my opinion.
It is no more right or wrong than yours, and I thank you for sharing yours, for even though I do not agree, I did find it thought provoking.

Truth! And I already know the truth. I am a hell deserving sinner but I am going to Heaven. Jesus washed my sins away with His blood. Amen!

1 Corinthians 8:1
Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that "We all possess knowledge." But knowledge puffs up while love builds up.

My truth is my belief in Christ...If I'm wrong or if I could be proved wrong it wouldn't matter my belief in Christ wouldn't change...As the songs says "he's who I want my God to be" end of story.
