i have an 1,36 gb movie. i need to "split" it so it fits on 2 cds. How do i do it???Is there a software or something like that?Please help...

Splitting the movie is just one of your problems.
Do you know that DVD and CD have different formats? If you split a DVD into two CDs, it won't read!
Because DVD works on .vob and CD on .dat!
So, what you really need to do is [a] convert the movie from .vob to.dat then, if you still need to[b] split the movie.

Hi there.
You might want to try Nero vision express3. From the menu you choose to in port the video. then you can Specify the part where the file can be cut into two. and export the two files separately. You can also make DVDs and other formats with this nifty software.

Downlaod the software named 'file splitter' from Internet and split the file... Then write it onto the CD.

By the way instead of spliting you can just reduce the size of your movie, by converting your DVDs to DivX or XviD or WMV. After conversion a standard movies will be about 700 mb (CD-R size) instead of 5 or 9 GB (Video DVD sizes).

You can split file on: specified time parts, specified size parts, equal-time parts, equal-size parts, custom parts.It has simple and easy to use interface.

Nero can do it. Win DVD creator 3 can do it more efiiciently. You can also use divx compression.
