I have a GF Paragon, 26" wheels. I have a great set of wheels now with Mavic 221 rims, but am looking for a set of wheels I can put narrower tires on for trail riding so I can swap out wheels instead of changing tires or buying a road bike. Can I get a decent set of wheels for $200 ?

Yep. There are plenty of places. You can even get a set of hand builts if you want. But try these first:

Sure you can although they might not be as nice as your 221's. Check out the Mavic Crossride wheelset. In the Performance Bike Catalog, they are going for about $200. For an extra set of wheels, there aren't half bad. If you want to save money, you can go with a lesser brand and get a wheelset that will be fine for what you want to use it for.

get the Mavic X223 with deore hubs. i bought mine at a shop for $170, but you can get them here for $90 plus shipping. these are strong wheels and look very nice, however, they are disc only.
