Hey there..

I would suggest that you do the following..

Open up My Computer. At the top go to the TOOLS Menu tab. Click on it to go in. On the list you will see FOLDER OPTIONS. Go into it.

Under GENERAL you will have FOLDER OPTIONS. There you will see a group box named BROWSER FOLDERS.

There you can change to options to open all windows in the same window and visa verse.

After making your choice go to the top and click on the VIEW tab. There will be a group box with a button that says APPLY TO ALL FOLDERS. Click on the button and if a message appear, then click on yes. At the bottom click on apply and OK.

Close all windows and open up my Computer. Click on one of your drives. It should open in the same window and not a new one.(this works for xp)

Your multiple window problem should be a thing of the past.

Open My Computer, click Extra - Folder Options. In the first screen, there's a tickbox you can check to have all windows open in the same screen rather then opening up a new window.

1. Open up 'My Computer'
2. Click 'Tools > Folder Options'
3. Make sure it's in the 'General' tabe and click the 'Open each folder in the same window' button
4. Click OK
5. Close any open explorer windows (My Computer, etc.)

that's it

:)
