Initially, I was born into it. My earliest memories involve intensive religious training, as my mother was extremely devout. However, as I got a bit older, I became interested in other religions, which led me toward years of religious research (and that research hasn't stopped yet). I'm still very interested in other religions, but have chosen to remain Catholic. No other religion moves me in the same way, or affects me as deeply with its beauty, art, rituals, and music. So I was born into an Italian Catholic family like plenty of other kids in my neighborhood, but also chose my religion after much study and thought.

It kind of made sense to me that if there was a God, that is a personal God who cared about people and not a God like Einstein's that is indifferent to people, then He would send instructions on what to do.And, when He sent those instructions, He would immediately identify Himself.
After all ,He would have no reason not to, if He were God.
That whole scene just made sense to me.
Also Christianity is SO unbelievable I have the feeling it has a lot of truth to it.This feeling comes from from experience in the world. No joke-you can see how bad this world is just by looking in the newspaper. It's freaking horrible.Anybody that seriously claims that a religion that sounds so much like a fairy tale is the absolute truth must be on to something new.
That's why I have a lot of sympathy to those who take the Bible literally-with angels in the sky and Jesus coming out of the clouds.
So I chose my religion because it had a lot of sense to it, that is in my opinion it made a lot of sense to believe in it.

Happykid, I have no "religion", as I believe that you mean by your question. I have a belief that Jesus is the promised Messiah, and is the savior man needs for redemption from sin. It is a relationship, not a religion. I have no value is a set of rules and regulations meant to try to control what I do in order to be thought of as being a "Christian". The bondage's used by churches to control their congregations are things that the Bible actually speaks against. So, it is a relationship that is nurtured by study, prayer, and reading/studying the Bible. I believe that God is, as well as Jesus, and the testimony of the Bible is reinforced by what human science have found to be true, that the Bible says is true.

I did not choose my religion. My religion chose me. I was brought up in a family of mixed culture and religion and i learn all about every ppl's religion. From monotheism to animisme. I might know other ppl's religion more than they do themselves. As i accept every culture and religion, among all the wrongs and rights, the right begin to speak to u and tell you to follow it. And so, you follow its path.

It is not in my position to say which religion is right or which is wrong, but i believe in what i believe in. One thing i learn though that those who believe in religion believe in a supreme being. Something more powerful than them and that makes us humble. For we know that no matter how big we can be in life, there's someone bigger who is watching us and what we do and judging it. And that is good.

Islam is the only religion which teaches the existence of a PERFECT God. A perfect God means that there is no sharer in His Nature and His Attributes:

"Say: He is God, the One and Only; God, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; and there is none like unto Him." (Holy Qur'an, 112:1-4)

THE HOLY QUR'AN(KORAN)The literal word of God, was revealed 14 centuries ago. It mentioned facts only recently discovered or proven by scientists. It is beyond reason that anyone fourteen hundred years ago would have known these facts discovered or proven only recently with advanced equipment and sophisticated .There are over 127 references to science in the Qur'an , all proved true by Christians Doctors and Scientist who then converted. This proves that Muhammad is The final messenger of God to all mankind and the people who will come in the future.

The Qur'an proves it self ..only God can provide the truth it contains it is miraculous in a number of aspects: Its linguistic perfection and inimitability, its validation by recent historical, archaeological, and scientific discoveries, its prophecies and so on. Unlike the miracles of other prophets before him, the miracle of the Qur'an is eternal

All rites of formal worship in Islam are based on Divine revelation, while the modes of worship in other religions are a mixture of Divine revelation, man-made traditions, opinions of clergymen and religious councils. , in Islam acts of worship such as prayer and fasting have been described by God and His Prophet in such detail that it gives human beings a feeling of assurance that the way they are worshipping God is pleasing to Him.

In other religions, even the ones which claim belief in "One God", people often approach God through an intermediary, such as a saint, an angel, the Virgin Mary or Jesus. However, it is only in Islam that a person is required only to pray to God

in Islam there are no priests or clergy -- each worshipper, man or woman, has a direct relationship with their Merciful Creator -- Almighty God. Since God is the Owner and Sustainer of everything, as well as the only one who can provide true and complete forgiveness, it is completely futile to try to approach Him through anyone else.

I got fed up with the evolutionary indoctrination that public school shoved down my throat. That belief system leaves everyone hopeless in this life and the next. Also gangs were threatening to kill me so I began to wonder what happens when you die. None of my friends were loyal and were all users and abusers. I knew there had to be something more to life and love shouldn't just be a word people use to get what they want.

My faith in Jesus grew as I read the Bible and listened to Christian radio. I began to see that nature is a product of creation. As my faith grew in God, the creator, I began to care about people and developed more respect for others and Gods creation. I have been involved with teen ministries since I became a Christian. So I can help deflect the lies designed to destroy people. ie Secular-atheistic-materialistic dogma shoved down peoples throats from birth.

I was drawn to God all my life though it seemed obstacles (including church) kept getting in the way. Kind of like slow progress through a minefield.

Though Deep calls onto deep, and something in my spirit was longing for more, for God and for reality. It wasnt some issue i needed to settle in my head, who can define love to me? Whether I found Him or He found me is not the question but I wont compromise for this relationship I have made with Him. I wont settle for anything less or accept any substitute for I have looked and tried everything else. Can you offer more? Nothing else will do now that I tested and tasted and seen that the Lord is Good.

I am drawn to His heart, intimate secrets and a romance thats all too often forgotten about through religion. He sent His Son, for the sakes of people who still bicker and dispute petty arguements for the sake of their own pride. He freely forgives, loves, and accepts us as family in honour and yet we refuse. He humbles Himself, in patient hope, that we would be united and we stall. He does not force it or manipulate but he considers us and respects our choice. Is that not love?

Thats why I am a Christian, because of who God is. You cant understand someone until they reveal their heart.

Search, and youll find.
Knock, and the door will opened.
Ask, and it will given to you.

I as most people didn't chose, my parents dictated what I had to believe in. The day I moved out of their house was the last time I ever went into a church and that was 19 years ago.

Religion is for people who have nothing to do with their time, and/or need something to believe in.

The one I was given, Christianity, made no sense and I could not relate to it's teachings. The one I have chosen, my own ecclectic combination of concepts that I find workable makes me a better person.
