The 15 month deployment was recently announced and along with it several units were told about their extimated deployment date. Have the Screamin Eagles from Ft. Campbell been notified?

That's OPSEC (operational security). Only the people in that unit and their families need to know that information, so they are the only people who know. The internet is not the place to post or request things like that. There have been real cases where troop movements and locations were posted online, and the units involved were attacked and suffered casualties based on that information. Always assume the enemy is reading what you type.

That said, if you have a friend or relative in that unit, they will be your best source of information regarding deployments. I live at Ft Campbell, and there are always all kinds of rumors going around. 99% of the time what you hear isn't true. Ask your soldier, they can tell you the most up-to-date information regarding their deployment. No one online can or should give out accurate deployment information.

Not only OPSEC, but "2nd battalion, 2nd Combat Team"? I've never heard it put that way before.

Doesn't sound like you're part of the army family.

We don't really know who you are. Anyone would be remiss to divulge that information in this forum.
