, To get a clearer understanding of the reasons why this is so, it may be good to look at what Jesus said, about it in (John15:20). People of Jesus day persecuted and accused him of being Blasphemous and not being God's son so if we are followers of Jesus then it makes sense what Jesus said, people have persecuted him so they will persecute his true followers also, as Jesus said a Slave is not greater than his master, and so his followers would also be persecuted for doing things right yet they would be accused of being wrong just like he was!

You are confused, dear one. We are Christian Jehovah's witnesses, just like the Baptist call themselves Baptist after John the "baptizer." Christians--Jehovah's witnesses are one and the same. Jesus Christ ordered us to "go out and preach by two's..." and that is what we do. We preach the good news about Jehovah God's incoming Kingdom. Many will and have, listened--but some will proudly refuse. Then when they tell us they are not interested, and not to call we will comply. "How will they hear without someone to preach?" We regret that. but will move on to the next house.

I have noticed that too. I am not a J.W, and I don't know much about what they believe in. But they do seem like very nice people and they seem to know the bible pretty well. Last Ent claims to be Christian, but then she says they are not Christian. When did God elect her to be judge over J.W.'s? And if they do happen to have the truth, won't she feel funny on the day of judgment?

I find I am commenting a lot on the Jehovah's Witnesses.
To those who say that Jehovah's Witnesses are not christian, do you understand the definition of the word christian?
From Websters Dictionary:
Main Entry: 1Chris·tian
Pronunciation: 'kris-ch&n, 'krish-
Function: noun
Etymology: Latin christianus, adjective & noun, from Greek christianos, from Christos
1 a : one who professes belief in the teachings of Jesus Christ.
So, this being said, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Jesus Christ came to earth as God's son to be the savior for mankind. Therefore Jehovah's Witnesses ARE Christian. There is no truth to the statement that JW's are not christian.

I have cited scripture from time to time about issues I have with the bORG; however, many times the disagreements lie, not in the WORDS of the verse, but in ones interpretation of a verse's meaning - for example, whether it is literal or figurative. Punctuations or indefinite articles often leave the interpretation up to the reader; and, even different translations of the verses may read in such a way as to infer a different meaning. Sincere people can disagree sincerely.
However, here I'd like to ask one of the JW's posting on this Q if they intend to let Debbie2243's statement about Alex Trabeck on Jeopardy go uncorrected. As you know, we've had this discussion on the supposed "Jeopardy" Urban Legend earlier this week, and it was thoroughly shown that the event never occurred.
(For your edification, Debbie, the "Jeopardy" the rumor was about is actually a Powerpoint game you can download on the internet produced by an evangelical group. Instead of saying the NWT is the most accurate translation, the game actually just identifies it as the Jehovah's Witness Bible. I'm sure you believe the rumor, but it is an urban legend, and never happened. Which, if the brothers on here are as interested in promoting truth as they claim, they will acknowledge it so as not to promote an untruth.)
So, my question to the JW Brothers on this Q is, 'will you quash the untrue rumor about Alex Trebeck endorsing the NWT, or are you willing to let a lie go forward because it serves your purposes?'
I'm not criticising you, Debbie, for repeating what I'm sure you believe; but, I'm also sure that, since JW's claim to teach truth, none of you would never want to promote your faith through a lie or even an inadvertent falsehood.
Anyone gonna stand up for truth?

Many accuse Jehovah's Witnesses of contradicting the Scriptures because of believing erroneous hearsay from others. For instance, some say JW's teachings conflict with the trinity doctrine. But if the trinity is Biblical, why can't such accusers find clearcut scriptural proof that Jesus taught his followers that God is triune and that he (Jesus) is God the Son, the second person of the trinity, in which all persons of the godhead are co-equal, co-eternal, and almighty?
On the other hand, JW,s can give Biblical proof that the trinity is false. For example, Jehovah is the Most High. (Ps. 83:18) At John 17:3, Jesus called his Father the ONLY true God. So since the Father is the ONLY true God, how can the Son and the holy spirit ALSO be the only true God?
At John 14:28, Jesus said: "The Father is greater than I am."
JW's can give Bible references for their answers. Others give opinions or a misapplication of scriptures.
By the way, Bibles like the KJB are contradictory. For example, at John 1:1, it says that the Word was God. But at John 3:17, it clearly says that God sent his Son to earth. So, who came to earth? God or his Son? Also, if Jesus is God, who gave him the revelation at Rev. 1:1?
JW's beliefs do not contradict the Bible. They are in complete harmony with it.

Seems everyone has their own take on what the scriptures mean. I've never thought the JWs contradict the scriptures they just seem to be stuck on a few that others take more lightly.

Hmmm... that is interesting.
You would think that when someone posted something that suggested that a Witness teaching was wrong, they would include some biblical reference that would show the understanding was wrong... Does the bible say that only 144,000 go to heaven? I bet if we ask Witnesses to support that in the bible- any bible- they could do it. Can those who claim that is a false teaching support, with the bible, their claim that it is not? I think that is the point here... Go ahead and claim they are wrong- but support your position with some biblical references. The Witnesses do that- and I would expect that of anyone who really did follow the bible... but just insisting that what they believe is not in the bible is not terribly convincing when they are the ones with "chapter and verse."
Interesting...

They incorrectly believe that JWs only use the New World's Translation.
Instead JW's use the entire bible and any bible.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 reads, "All Scripture is God-breathed..

The scriptures are so plain to understand if you just read them. One thing people tend not to know or want to hear is the Bible was written to the ones that go to heaven. These are the little flock, the 144000 spiritual anointed that will be rulers in heaven with Jesus..or Michael as he is know in heaven.
Rev. 14:1-3 and it says plainly they have been bought from the earth.
Why doesn't it say that every good person is going to heaven? where will they go?
For one thing...man was made for the earth and the earth for man. there will be a tribulation here on earth and then Armageddon...and the devil will be abyssed. After 1000 years he will be let out of the abyss..he will be allowed to tempt perfected humans where? in heaven? no...Rev 20:7-&8...tells us it is here on earth. Then satan and Jesus go at it and Jesus kills satan.
and then what?
will they go to heaven then?
no...
they were originally meant to be here on earth in a perfect state with a perfect earth. God wants that to happen..so it shall.
ps 37:12, ps115:16, isa. 45:18, Luke 12:32, rev. 7:9, ps:37:11, zep:2:3
Oh and by the way Alex Trabeck on Jepardy told the world on the show that the most accurate translation of the Bible is The New World Translation
