most of the time when im running 2.4 km to train for my fitness test, i get this pain under my ribcage. its bearable but really hurts whenever i breathe in. anyone knows what could be causing this and how to prevent it?

This could be over use of the muscles. When you're running you're using every muscle in the body. It would be good if you could take a few days' rest to let the muscles recover.

I recommend you see your medical doctor and tell him your symptoms so that you can get a proper answer for your problems.

Have your physician check you out. Quite possibly could be a mild form of asthma.

I have the same thing sometimes...feels sorta like a sharp pain against your heart. Inhaler was my solution.
