Modern scientists know that the human body continually renews itself. And they say that, under the right conditions, it is capable of living forever. Yet, in spite of being so made, men continue to grow old and die. Why is that? We can find the answer in the Bible.
"But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die." -- Genesis 2:17
So, the consequence of disobedience is death.
"To the woman he said: “I shall greatly increase the pain of your pregnancy; in birth pangs you will bring forth children, and your craving will be for your husband, and he will dominate you.”
"And to Adam he said: “Because you listened to your wife’s voice and took to eating from the tree concerning which I gave you this command, ‘You must not eat from it,’ cursed is the ground on your account. In pain you will eat its produce all the days of your life. And thorns and thistles it will grow for you, and you must eat the vegetation of the field. In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.”" -- Genesis 3:16,19
"That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned." -- Romans 5:12

I suppose it's just the circle of life. We're born, we grow up and learn at school, grow up more through life and then pass on everything we learned to the next life.

Not really. All things die, so it just seems natural. We are made of organic matter-our bodies can't last forever.
