I think it will be a very complicated issue between USA and China... Kinda scary though. But with the democrats in power now... They will give in because they are weak.

It's hard to say.
China and Taiwan have been separated since 1949 and there have been times it came close to war, but I think China would like to have some of the economic benefits of Taiwan as part of its own system.
China considers Taiwan to be a part of its own territory. Taiwan considers itself to be the continuation of Nationalist China, which preceded the Communists as the Kuomintang.
There is no question that Taiwan does not want to be part of a Communist system and will fight to avoid that.
China is emerging as an economic power and would probably prefer to avoid war, especially since such trade partners as Japan and South Korea would not look kindly on any action against Taiwan.
Nevertheless it is possible that cooler heads will not prevail and war could break out. I would not be surprised either way, but I lean in the direction that war is unlikely.

The government of China has laid claim to the island of Taiwan, and recently made laws that authorize the use of force against Taiwan in the near future if Taiwan doesn't comply with China. So China and Taiwan are on a collision course, and Taiwan isn't changing its mind about independence. So right now it looks like war is inevitable.

United States will do everything it can to keep the status Quo. Taiwan knows it needs US to defend it and The US made it clear that it does not believe Taiwan as a seperate entity from CHina. I believe if Taiwan declares its independence US will try to find a way to bow out now China has some muscles. US probably has a lot of behind the scene meetings with Taiwan to better not declare independence.

No, China would never attack Taiwan. They most they would try to do is impose a blockade, which I guess is still considered an act of war. They'll more likely attempt to make Taiwan self-collapse so that it has no choice. China's threats of use of force is all a show so that its people don't start believing it's government is full of pusssies that haven't been able to take back a little island they promised they would 60 years ago. It will most like stay as it is for a long time.

China knows if it attacks Taiwan we will get involved and the last thing China wants to do is get us involved for a few reasons.First is they export billions upon billions worth of product produced by socialized companies the old ya don't shi* where ya eat theory second is although they have an enormous army their weapons and technology are dwarfed by ours not to mention their navy is almost non existent and lets face it you need a navy to win a war.So I dont think China will be going into Taiwan any time soon.

China could easily take over the island, but China knows that the US will back Taiwan up. I do believer in the next 10-20 years China will take back the island of Taiwan, but Taiwan will put up a fight, and will be back by a lot Western European countries, and US.

that's going to be civil conflict. And the u . s . won't get entangled because of the fact for 60 years the u . s . has reported there is entirely one China. China might have the skill to take administration of Taiwan and not using assorted difficulty.

if it happens, we are committed to come to the defense of taiwan. china manages to keep a veneer respectability with the world for allowing taiwan and hong kong be "free and capitalistic" when they really have a tight reign on both places. china will never let either island go. they have the unique situation where the mainland is under a dictatorship and the aforementioned are both somewhat free to do as they will. this has permitted china to remain in the un. they have been though only because of chiang kai shek . when mao took over chiang went to taiwan taking historic treasures and his government has been in power ever since. china had to promise to leave hong kong alone for like fifty years before the brits would hand it back over to china. i am thinking china will bide its time with both places, building arms and industry unless outside influences will force her to act. its late now and i have to go to bed.

what is sharpee talking about? Taiwanese and Chinese are ducks? In that case. I'm pretty sure any war wouldn't have too much damage. I mean, how much damage can ducks do to eachother? Or wait, is this a bird flu thing? Bird flu started in China and since Taiwanese are also ducks, they can catch the flu too?? I'm really confused. Is Singapore a duck too, they speak Chinese?
No, I don't think there will be a war. According to Sharpee, they're both ducks so I don't think we have anything to worry about.
