Usually the people who want babies do not like abortion. The people who don't want babies are okay with it.

I don't like the idea of tying someone down for 9 months and force-feeding them. Or having them do an abortion themselves. (That's why it is legal now - to stop that from happening again.) Or killing themselves so they won't "shame" their parents. Or just plain adding more kids so people will get more welfare money - or that people won't take care of - or that end up in trash cans.

Personal opinion? I like the idea of abortion up to the age of viability. Then have a C-section and make the child some else's responsibility (including the prenatal expense). There should be plenty of people willing to adopt at that stage who refuse to adopt an older child.

I support a woman's choice. A pregnant woman is the only one who knows what's right for her. No one else is in her situation. No one else is living her life. No one has the right to tell her what she can and cannot do.

I do not support abortion as a form of Birth Control. I support Abortion as a fully thought out decision.

it would be greater advantageous to sell regulations to assist cut back undesirable pregnancies in the 1st place. All we seem to get from Republicans is greater abstinence-only education which does no longer artwork. They pass all out to guard the fetus from abortion and then ignore approximately them as quickly as they're born. If each and all of the undesirable pregnancies ended up being born merely a small fraction would finally end up accompanied into loving families. undesirable toddlers saved by ability of their mothers frequently finally end up abused and missed and ruin the bank in taxes. Medicaid, foodstuff Stamps, TANF, toddler protective centers, Juvenile centers, and finally the abused and undesirable toddler finally ends up in reformatory in adulthood. And the comparable party that desires to maintain all of those fetuses additionally needs huge tax cuts. They greater advantageous be careful what they ask for because of the fact they beneficial are not going to wish to pay for it.

I agree with Roxie. It's the personal choice of the mother and no one else. In my case, i could never do it because i would feel guilty for the rest of my life but in the end the only one who can make the decisions are the mother.

Abortion is not good, but sometimes it is necessary and warranted. Who am I to decide what is best for other women? I cannot know what they are going through, how they feel, what will happen to their lives.
Therefore, I am pro-choice.

I would never judge someone because of something they did. To me, it is more important WHY they did what they did.
You can`t say it`s wrong, BUT...for rape and incest. Well, in those cases, too, it`s not the baby`s fault, so how is that okay then?
I am not going to argue about what`s right and wrong here, because in the end, it`s not us who have to live with it.
This is simply my opinion on this.

I posted this during Blog for Choice Day. It's intense, but here you go.

WHY am I pro choice?
Because I don't think anyone should be forced to be an incubator. The thought of being pregnant makes me ill, let alone being legally forced into it for 9 months. If I got pregnant I would terminate the pregnancy. Full stop.

The law would not stop me, lack of medical facilities would not stop me. Short of being forced into a coma for nine months, I would resort to terminating a pregnancy by my own hand. I am NOT kidding.

Even if... (insert your scenario here).

Am I abstinent? HELL no.

I am fairly certain I'm not the only one who thinks this way.

So, if my partner turned out to NOT be sterile, the only thing legislation against abortion denies myself and others like me is access to something less barbaric than a coathanger. As far as teenagers not having access to abortions, they would be MUCH more desparate, poorer, and less educated than I in getting rid of it.

That said, I don't advocate legislation telling women how many kids they're allowed to have, or mandatory sterilization. I'm a believer in personal freedom. I'm a believer that people will usually make the right decisions when given the opportunity, and I don't support legislation that governs what people are allowed to do with their bodies. I don't stand outside your church with a sign reading "Abstinence isn't the only alternative" and passing out brochures against sexual repression and information on birth control. You stay out of my business, I stay out of yours.

Abortion is not a 'recreational' alternative, neither is Plan B, both have extremely unpleasant side effects. Abortion is a bar-none last resort. No one terminates a pregnancy for fun. Yes, there are a women using it 'as a form of birth control', I don't want to see these people as parents, thank you.

"How could you kill a baby?"
How could you support a war that costs the lives of more civillians than soldiers? How could you use your spare money for anything but funding a cure for malaria? how could you deny medical care to someone who's life depended on it? We are all guilty of at least one of these things, but somehow most of us are considered 'good people'.

Do not mistake an acorn for an oak tree and focus on taking care of the saplings.
There are more neglected, abused children in this world than there are healthy families, when those are taken care of, provided a quality education, fed, clothed, and freed from abuse, and the human race is endangered, we can focus on preserving the unborn. The two out of three that aren't miscarried, anyway.

We already know that God is not pro-life, Christians aren't either, in a pinch, and legislation against abortion is NOT about fetuses; seriously, Women, don't **** men who are pro-life unless its part of your job. You might as well join the Taliban; THATs what I think of you.

If you don't want women having abortions, make Plan B easily accessable, provide thorough sex education to anyone over the age of 12 -that includes information on ALL available contraceptives - to EVERYONE. Make condoms easily available, and make the burden of proper parenting KNOWN. Take away the reasons for it instead of focusing on legislation against it, and even the Atheists will appreciate you.

It's wrong, except for saving the life of the mother, and arguably for rape and incest.

The concept of so-called "choice" is a deception of the language, and there should never be a "choice" to destroy the child because women don't have enough brains to keep their legs closed, or men don't have enough sense to keep their pants zipped up.

I want that choice removed forever, until the end of time. And if a Republican does not take that same hard position, then I will not vote for him and I want the Republican party dissolved.

This is why I can't stand men like Giuliani and I would never vote for him in a million years.
