All the sites I've found have free federal tax efiling, but to file state taxes, they charge you. Turbo-Tax used to let you complete the state forms on line & only charged if you filed electronically, but not if you printed them out & mailed it in, but they're not doing that anymore.

Go to your states government page. For example I live in Indiana so I would go to www.in.gov and then go to department of revenue you should find a link there. Good Luck

It's free in California. Check your state's franchise tax board website.

Goto IRS.GOV and on their main page is a link to doing your tax efiling for free.

Only at your state's tax authority website - if they allow it at all. If they don't, mail in the return.

in wisconsin you can free file your state return, check your local state tax website to see if your state does, i think illinois does it too. try looking up "your state+free+file" and see what comes up.

Many states allow filing from their websites. It looks like
CA does - see http://www.ftb.ca.gov/online/index.html

yes..yahoo....you can actually fill them in on yahoo, but they charge to file them...but you can just print them out and mail them in..sometimes now days it is almost quicker to do that..
