People lie in order to feel power over another person. The answer to your question is POWER and CONTROL it's hard for some people to resist.
Liars would say the truth hurts but in reality the truth is a relief. If you don't put yourself in a position where the truth will hurt than it won't.
If the meaning of sparing someones feeling is lying, intimidating, humiliating and trampling on their emotions than I'd rather hear the truth. Lies are like a punch in the stomach when realized.

Because telling the truth requires you to step out and be judged. It's like standing in a room full of people without a stitch of clothing on. To tell the truth requires you to explain your motives behind your actions. Our motives lie close within by our truth selves and lying seems to be a way of protection. Lying helps to cover our shame...so to speak. The truth doesn't necessarily set you free, but it does help to take the load off. If you stand by the truth, people will start to notice and your creditability will be more profound.

My answer is cryptic so read carefully->
It's hard to stop lying all the time. However, it's much harder to start telling the truth all the time.
Once you get into the habit of telling the truth, you'll find it's not so tough.

adult adult males lie because of the fact they don't choose to handle the harm or anger they might reason by using telling the certainty, be it while they're attempting to interrupt up,or while they say they're going to call, yet have not have been given any purpose on doing so, or have not yet made up their concepts. they choose to maintain the door open for that wet day while they choose somebody. They locate it much less stressful to easily lie, or shop away from.

I have a major problem with lying which is what i am currently trying to fix.
The main issue for me is...I run on auto-pilot most of the time, so I lie out of fear. I dont want that person to realize something bad of me and i want their trust to continue, so i lie to make it seem like im good, which in fact in the background I am truley making myself UN-trustworthy.
You lie, because you want to appear perfect. No ones perfect, everyone makes mistakes, its the repsonsible, adult, mature people who take full responsibility for their actions whether it will cost you their friendship/love/etc or not.
Hope this helps!

Uh.....cuz you're a liar? I don't know. It depends on the person. It's hard for me to tell a lie. Like, if someone sucks at something and asks me how they did, I say, "you sucked". Unless it's a cute girl or an old person.

To tell the truth you have to understand it. Do you understand truth?
