I'd be the person that would walk up to you and be like "WTF?"...
Then show you mine and have a good laugh with you.
To the guy that said we have low intellect, grow up. It's the people like you that will end up lonely in your pathetic life. Oh, I'm sorry, you will have the other people who like to stereotype people based on their looks or what they have done to themselves. You don't know us at all. Most of us are probably smarter than you and have a higher education than you. As for me, I already have my Associate of Applied Science degree in Electronics Engineering Technology and will be going back to school in the next few months for a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science. I also have 18 years of computer experience. How old am I? 26. Do the math. Yes I have actually been working with computers since I was 8 years old. And yes, I have actually been doing work in hardware since I was 8, not just playing games on a computer.

Well you have a right mixture of answers and I must say that some of them are down right nasty. Some of them are somewhat valid even one or two that were given thumbs down
From my own perspective I think that we all have choices and I actually like the tattoo's and have a few that all represent something to me and that is MY reason for having them. I cannot in any way aggree that as one answer puts it "bottom of the gene pool" that comment was just plain stupidity.
The artistic value is another point. Some of the work that I have seen is nothing better that perfect. I have a portrait of my loverly wife on our wedding day and one of my daughter beside it on her wedding day and I am most proud of them and of the tattoo that I had done.
Does it disgust me, no way. Would I employ you with tattoo's on show, well yes but only if you could do the job and the art would not be the issue with that.
Personal choices in our life seem to have quite an advers and a diverse effect on other people and I can't see why. Each and every one of us is different and the person remains the same with or without the art.
Good for the two of you and keep it individual but for you and you alone

I have five tattoo's and have already designed my next 2.
I can cover mine up, but I love showing them off.
As for work, I also work with the elderly, for a national company. I've been to meeting at which the CEO has attended showing off my tat's.
Looking after over 80 OAP's on a daily basis, they love asking what my tattoo's mean. All of them hold symbolic meaning for me and the path I choose to follow while on this earth.
It raises a few eyebrows but it keeps them entertained.
When I go out I often get complimentary comments on my tattoo's and if I see other with them, I generally ask if I can get a better look.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on what they like or not, so those that don't like Tattoo's respect others views, and stop being judgemental wa*kers.
We don't judge you for not having tat's.

Great question!
For me, it's not so much about the tattoos itself - it's the character of the person displaying the artwork.
For example, if I saw two quite old, overweight, dirty and/or cheap-looking people with your exact tattoos, I would probably look in disgust (althought disgust is probably a bit strong!).
If you and your husband have wild interesting hair colours, piercings, interesting dress sense etc and the tattoos added to your overall character, then yes, I'd be fascinated!
As for those who murmur abuse to you - let them live their judgemental shallow lives. You obviously don't judge others and you know how to have fun... so roll with it! ;-)
On the right people, and for the right reasons, tattoos can be a great adornment to the body..... on some people, and I'm sure you know what I'm saying here, tattoos truly look like grafitti.
I'd love to see some pics of yours and hubby's tattoos to see which category you fall into ;-)haha!
Live and let live!
xx Emmie

I would just look at you like any other person. I would never be disgusted by people having tattoos. If I did see a tattoo on you that I really loved I might ask you about it if the time was appropriate but I wouldn't think of you any differently than other people.

As job prospects go I have just been promoted to Production coordinator, I have been with the same company for 16 years. I get tattoos because i just love them and thats my choice.

Tattoos are a work of art. I do have one in my lower back, a tribal butterfly and I love it. If i saw you in the streets, id be amazed on how cool the two of you are! My husband is planning to get one so we would look cool together.

Hi Debbie, I have 6 tats myself and i love the color and the story they tell. It is a work of art,but it's on your skin. I myself get comments on my tats to. I would come up to you and ask you where you had your tats done!!! There is no disgust at all with people getting tats. A lot of people like the stories that come with some people. Mine tells about my Irish back ground. I was in the hospital early this year and the night nurses love my tats and they could see a story in my tats. Yes i would be with both of you on your tats. LOL LOL..
A Friend.

I would have no problems with it at all. (I have a tattoo that's fairly large but since it's on my back it isn't commonly seen)
I would think that tattooing is so common these days that people wouldn't really look twice as much now as in the past.

I dont really have a critism to tatoos, its a personal thing and people just like to show off their art, or creativity some of them are really impressive, and its good to have a bit of individuality. Although i hate the run of the mill ones that dont mean anything and have no originality. Im too scared to get one myself!
