My boyfriend and I are going out Saturday night and thought Hollywood would be a fun place to go to walk around and stuff. We want to know of some things to do though besides walking around and looking at shops. Does anyone know of a great restaurant or anything. I love Hollywood and Vine but we are hoping to try something new. Have any ideas?

Go to Hollywood & Highland (not Hollywood & Vine). That's the new "heart" of Hollywood. There are quite a few restaurants in the new center they built there, as well as a club or two, and a trendy bowling alley. Look at the footprints in cement in front of Grauman's Chinese Theatre next door. Cross the street and see a movie at the classic El Capitan theatre. Have a sundae at Disney's new ice cream parlor, next to the El Capitan. Laugh at the really bad wax statues in the Hollywood Wax Museum. Check out the many clubs on Cahuenga. See a musical like "Wicked" at the Pantages Theatre or drive up to the Hollywood Bowl, buy a cheap ticket and listen to a concert under the stars.

we usually do the shopping thing on Melrose..but there also is the improv comedy club off Melrose too...check out the Kodac theatre, pretty cool....Ripley believe it or not...of Hollywood..if you get their earlier..lunch at Pinkys is an experience.
