Why does god hate amputees so much. I hear all the time how much prayer is attributed to healing ailments and injuries. I would be willing to bet that the injury or ailment would be healed without prayer. But with amputees - god does not listen. The limb does not regrow. I know what you crazy ignorant evangelicals will say - "It's not in gods plan" - or "it's not for us to ask". But if someone can give me a real reason that your god will regrow limbs for salamanders but not for "his" precious humans - I'd like to know.

God has said that "no sign shall be given to a wicked generation ".That's why. if god heals sickness it can always be attributed to Medicine or mind over matter etc. But for a human to regrow a limb all on its own could be construed as a sign. He doesn't hate amputees, he just has to keep his word. When Christ comes back for his second advent , in the twinkling of an eye everyone will become able bodied, whole.

God does heal people with missing limbs. Jesus healed people with missing limbs, maimed, and with shriveled limbs. And he still does to this very day. The problem is that no many people know how to access this healing or understand His ways. God has a season when He gets ready to do supernatural healing like this. Sometimes people have to wait for years faithful for that season to come. But if a person holds on consistently by faith their healing will come. I suffered from arthritis in my neck for 13 years. A kind which should have paralyzed me and put me in a wheelchair, but by the grace of God. I am walking free and in my healing. The Lord has already showed me that the season for restorations of limbs is coming. Also, He showed me people with deformities will be made completely whole also.

God cannot interact with the world in that way. There is a reason for that and I will explain it in a moment.

God, first of all, does not "regrow" limbs for a salamander. The Salamander's natural genetic (scientifically quantifiable) makeup allows for them to regrow lost limbs. That is simply an evolved survival trait.

Now to explain why God cannot hand out miracles like that:

The most important part of a religion is faith. Faith is a belief in something without any quantifiable proof. If miracles were common, if there was proof, there would be no faith. There would be fact. If there was absolute 100% undeniable proof that God existed, that the Christian (I am assuming you are referring to the Christian God) God existed, if Heaven was proven to be real and there were specific criteria for reaching it that were undisputed. Then humanity would have lost the most precious gift that God gave us: Free Will.

You see, you can believe in God, or you can choose NOT to believe in God. Because that is faith. You believe even in the vaccume of fact. If God were proven to be real, and proven to be the only diety in creation, we would have no choice to make as to the belief in Him or not. Free Will would have been taken away from us.

DISCLAIMER:
I am not Christian, though I have studied philosophy and theology. I am not saying what I say out of belief, I am saying what I am saying based on logical supposition.

I am not an evangelical. God does heal. But we don't experience healing when:

a) we continue in sin and refuse to repent. There were times in Scripture when Jesus said to the paralytic, "Sin no more".

b) there is a purpose for the infirmity in our life, to grow character, patience, faith. God is more interested in growing our inner man than our outward appearance.

c) we lack faith. (Incident of the Epileptic boy where the disciples could not heal the boy) and the father of the boy lacked faith.

Have you heard of Betty Baxter's testimony? - An example of healing. Just do a search on her and her life is a demonstration of persevering patience waiting on God to heal her. She should still be alive today.

Have you heard of Joni Ericsson? - An example of God using her to reach out to fellow wheelchair bound persons.

My feel is that you are probably very upset with God that he hasn't healed you or your friend and there's anger in your heart against Him.....a reflection of a growing lack of trust in God because you want to be in control. Its ok to be angry but I've been there before and have learnt its not a good idea to remain angry with God.

God healed our spirits first of all and gave His Son, Jesus to die for us so that we could live eternally with Him. He heals hearts for whoever humbles themselves and asks. And after our physical bodies die, He'll make us (believers) whole with resurrected perfected bodies. No imperfections, pain, saddness or death in Heaven, ever. Sometimes a person who has a great body, mind and life is more crippled than the amputee. They are crippled with pride that keeps them from truth in Jesus and eternal joy in Heaven. They are crippled with ignorance as they allow their limited human minds to stop them from Faith in the Lord. So, really, WHO are the crippled ones?

For that matter why do we have to die at all or be sick or any of those unpleasant things. This life is a spiritual enlightening.
Think of it like a kid going off from his parents. If he stays and they protect him from everything then he will not grow.

Maybe because he wants us to learn how to heal them ourselves. The technology to heal amputees will one day come true. God gave us the tools to learn how to heal amputees (salamanders) we just need to learn how to use them. No one not even your own mom, will do everything for you your entire life, somethings we have to do on our own.

God is faithful and when he makes the rules, he doesn't break them. Humans know, innately, that our limbs cannot regenerate and we have an inborn knowledge of this fact. We naturally try to protect them.

Why are you so bitter toward God, and why do you mockingly refer to humans as precious? You should consider them precious too. Do you hate your species?

God does help us overcome obstacles, like missing limbs, by giving us the wisdom to fashion artificial limbs.
