I was technically dead twice after two different surgeries. I did not see any bright lights. I did not hover over the operating table watching with interest. I did not visit my children in the waiting room. There was nothing.

I always thought there would be something. I was disappointed. I woke up on a ventilator both times.

I wish I could say that I had a spiritual experience. I'm still trying to figure out why I survived, and what I should do having been given two second chances.

As fate would have it, I do believe in reincarnation and the astral plane. Imagine my disappointment when nothing of the sort happened to me.

Yeah, I nearly died putting my car into the concrete wall on the expressway.

Never saw god, called to god, or cared about god. I survived and still don't believe.

near death --yes...Just tired and wanted to rest..the pain and sickness all went away...just like I was peaceful and going to sleep...the fact that I was dying didn't seem to matter to me anymore...
