Well I dyed it about a week ago. I tryed coloring it brown it turned to black. So I went to the salon and he said he put brown over it but it still looked the same. So I went somewhere else and told her what happened. So She put in brown hightlights. There are hairs a few falling out when I brush about 10 after a shower but I'm concerned if it hasn't happened already will it happen soon and when.

Hi. Hair doesn't fall out from over processing but it does break off, sometimes close to the scalp. To try and save the rest, use an ultra-conditioner or hot oil treatment regularly to help stop the breakage. You will need leave in conditioner also. Heat from blow dryers and flat irons, etc. will also continue the damage. In the future do not overlap the color, apply to regrowth only and use recommended timing for the color. Be patient it will grow back thank goodness!

If This Is Your FIRST TIME Coloring Your Hair, You May Notice A Little More Hair Fall Than Normal, This Is Probably From Manipulating The Hair More Than You Usually Do Because Of The Coloring Process. The Amount Of Hair Fall Should Return To Normal Unless, You Develop An Allergy To The Dye (In This Case, See A Doctor)

No, but it can cause hair loss/breakage. You should never color over processed hair or leave the dye on for longer than the recommended time. The damage to the hair can cause it to break off at the root which could result in bald patches.

if this has happened you have an allergy to the solution that the hairdressers have used. The best option is to use a rinse it is a lot kinder to the skin and hair than permanents are. Hairdressers use approx 30% hydrogen peroxide when doing highlights or lightening hair, supermarket products usually contain around 6% for a semi permanent. you haven't mentioned if you hair has recovered from this and how long ago this happened, i would recommend intensive conditioning treatments and don't go to hairdresser for colour again, use milder colourant from pharmacy or supermarket and choose one to compliment your natural colour to highlight it not to straight out bleach it, the bleach is what causes the damage.

Absolutly. Not myself, but this is a fairly common occurance. It is called overprocessing and that is why it is important that you get your hair colored by a licensed professional. Those are chemicals that they put in your hair and if mixed wrong or left in too long it can do damage to your hair and scalp.
